I shot a guard who shot at us first, and then I shot at Major Whoreson who wasn't reacting to my bullets. Why do you deserve to be unbanned?: I feel this ban is unfair for a few reasons. First, my ping is consistently around 180ms. In the chaos of the raid, with shots already being fired, it's possible there was some de sync or lag on my end that made the situation with Major Whoreson look different than what was actually happening. I saw a hostile looking player and reacted to the threat, but the lag might have prevented me from seeing that he wasn't a part of it. Secondly, while I understand a rule was broken, the punishment feels extreme for a first time offense during active RP, especially when it seems like other rules like NLR or car misuse are broken all the time without the same level of punishment. I've seen people with car permits just drive around running people over without any RP, or people clearly ignoring NLR, and it feels like they don't get banned for it. It's frustrating to be banned so quickly for a mistake I feel was influenced by lag and the heat of the moment in a legitimate RP scenario, when other more blatant rulebreaks seem to go unchecked. I was genuinely engaged in the server's RP and would like a chance to come back. Additional Information: I apologize for my part in the situation. I should have been more aware. But I hope you can see my side that the ban feels disproportionate, especially for a new player trying to learn the server. I'm not trying to cause trouble, I just want a fair chance to play like everyone else.

Hey, thanks for the appeal. While I appreciate the apology, there's a few things I would like to clarify with you. First, you need to fix your steam id. It should be in the format STEAM_0:X:XXX. Secondly, your previous offenses are always going to affect punishments, especially when you have as many POs as you do. Finally, it doesn't mean it's okay to break the rules when you see others do it. When other people do it, you need to make a ticket to make sure our guidelines are enforced. It's an expectation that everyone who plays the server reads over the rules, and does their best to uphold them. Now I understand mistakes happen, and I believe this is your first infraction of this type. Therefore, I am leaving this decision up to UA, but I do believe you deserve a bit of a shorter ban. Just remember to read over the rules, and make sure you understand them. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here or message a member of staff to answer them.

After a conversation was had with Prime you are going to be unbanned, but this will also serve as a reminder to not go around acting out of line and not roleplaying, especially not throwing around racial slurs, so think about what's been said here and act better next time. Approved.

I apologize if I got too rowdy and annoyed someone, I really didn't mean to upset you. Additional Information: I haven't had an infraction for several months, I believe only a warning for RDM earlier in that day, so I apologize about that. I wasn't interrupting the rp or anything of that nature, just making some jokes and being goofy. No one had an issue with it. I also didn't kill anyone, abuse any props, etc. Given my record, I would like to request I be unbanned. I also didn't really get any prior warnings from staff to stop, I was just goofing around in our downtime.

Good Afternoon, I am the staff member who approved the PK for Parzivial. You were PK'd under the Guideline "Government PK- Being killed while not abiding by Fear-RP [PK]", I understand being PK'd is a frustrating experience and it is never nice when it happens to a character you've spent time on, It is an integral part of the roleplay that allows characters to suffer consequences for their own actions. You failed to consider the implications, and you failed to act with fear for your character's life; as such, when you were shot, you were PK'd. You were given clear instructions from a member of the landespolizei to stop moving as they attempted to detain you; however, you decided to run. The officer was incredibly patient, including utilising a 10-second warning before he would open fire. Still, you decided to ignore the order and even tried to call for backup over the radio; this showed a complete FearRP break, which was the reason for the PK. You might have been let into the station; however, there was no attempt to PK you because of it. You were PK'd for moving and radioing whilst under gunpoint whilst they attempt to detain you, as such, it is not PK baiting. As stated, I understand PKs are never nice, but use it as an opportunity to learn how to play differently to avoid similar situations in the future, and I'd highly recommend reading the PK guidelines over on our Wiki for further information. I did check them, but I overlooked this specific detail; which was my mistake. I had also seen others advertise while detained in the past, so I wrongly assumed it wasn’t an issue. I also know I've personally furthermore had personal offenses before; wherein those were months ago and unrelated. I was genuinely trying to adhere to the roles and just play as normally. I don’t think my old mistakes should weigh so heavily when this was a genuine misunderstanding. And I don't believe such offences can stay inert. I apologize for the mistake; but I ask for the ban be reconsidered or reduced given the context. Thanks for making this appeal, I was the staff member that conducted your PK. The reason you were PKed was because of the very blatant break of FearRP. While I understand that you were not aware of the rules, that is an unfortunate mistake on your end. I would suggest that you read the rules on any server you join in the future, ours included.
