Staff Knowledge Section What previous experience do you have as a staff member within Garry’s Mod and the nutscript gamemode?: No Garry's Mod experience as staff, most of my experience has been on roleplay communities on platforms like Roblox. Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team? [300 words or more]: I feel that I should be selected as a P-N Staff Team member as I am very, very active across Discord and the Garry’s Mod server, very willing to complete & exceed any quota set, and I generally just enjoy helping people out as staff. Despite my account only having a little over 2 days of playtime, I’ve spent just about every night of the last month or two grinding out that time due to my newer account on this server. I’ve played a little bit of this server in 2024, however since coming back, I’ve loved every second of this server and how it has progressed since the last time I’ve played. Due to the community and different people I’ve met in the last month or so, I’ve become very, very motivated to get on everyday and sit on the server. Not only do I spend most of every night I have, my school year is coming to a close within this week which means that I have the capacity to spend a significant amount of time on the server & Discord, helping out as a member of staff. Not to sound like I don’t have anything else to do with my life, but Prometheus Networks has genuinely been my complete and utter focus throughout the past month and I would love to continue my journey as a member of staff. In addition to my activity, if selected as staff, I would go out of my way to complete my quota as a staff member. I’m not typically one to rank-sit in RP communities, however I’m spending 60+ hours a month on the server which will (hopefully) allow me to complete and exceed whatever amount of tickets are required of me as staff. Additionally, even if there are circumstances that I would have to go inactive as staff/if I am unable to complete my set quotas, I wouldn’t hesitate to resign or go on a leave of absence from any position I hold. Lastly, from my experience of being staff, I’ve always just enjoyed helping people out with issues or quarrels they’ve had in all of my staff positions. One of my most recent staff positions that I resigned from in around April was a position requiring me to deal with daily reports of subordinates and peers which I heavily enjoyed, and I am to understand that acting as a staff member on Prometheus Networks would allow me to do a similar job and serve a similar purpose. What are the duties and responsibilities of a staff member in your own words? [150 Words or more]: In my opinion, I feel that the responsibilities of a staff member on Prometheus Networks is to ensure that all server-wide RP rules are followed (Global Rules, FearRP rules, etc) & to make sure that any and all tickets are squared away across the server. Staff members should, of course, be active as often as possible, but staff members should first and foremost be dealing with tickets made on the server. These tickets could range from general questions, promotion requests, or even reports on other people or things on the server. Staff members should also be (if possible) vigilantly looking out for anybody breaking Prometheus Networks rules around the server to ensure that order is being kept regardless of reports or other events going on. These look-outs should be done in accompaniment with the standard handling of tickets occurring so that all RP operations are able to run smoothly throughout the day.

The man who PKed me is the guy I killed. In addition it was self defence, since he attempted to whip around his gun in my face and died for it at which point his friend rounded the corner and killed me.

I turn the corner to ensure no guns are pointed at me therefore breaking any Fear RP element of not following orders as no gun was pointed at me. I then gunned down the officer clearly ordering my detainment who, in this case had initiated the gun fight using a pistol by pulling out his weapon at me in the first place. In short, I was PKed when the guy ordering my detainment had gotten killed and he walked away from this scott free? While I get PKed for shooting at the guy who hasn't got a gun pointed at me attempts to whip it around in my face when I have already preaimed fired killed him and then his fellow teammate rounds the corner and finishes me off. I wasnt playing alot and instead focusing on myself and my mental health and all of that. I have seen from the last appeal ive made in november the DMs, and honestly i was just overreacting and trashtalking like an absolute uneducated monkey. Well. I would hope that the buildings we already have would get reworks. A lot of them have details that hinder businesses and their builders. Assets that could be removed so that we could have a blank canvas.

This and theres already so many empty buildings that dont get used. Adding more would just add to that pile.

Not following the formula of the suggestions nor presenting a great argument. In theory, it would be great to have such things as lower advertisements but then minges. In theory, it would be great to have more buildings but then we have to have a active map developer and a server that can stand the weight of said map.

Denied. After reviewing the full context of this appeal, including your responses, the original request, and the relevant IC events, I'm denying this appeal. The PK was valid, justified, and executed with sufficient cause based on your character's conduct. Let's be absolutely clear, this PK was not issued solely because of the trial or PCO denials. That situation was handled with a demotion, a fine and time in jail. But facing consequences in court does not grant you immunity from further IC retaliation, especially when your actions after that trial continued to escalate against the NSB. The NSB, more than any other faction will persue further action against you, legal or illegal. If your behavior towards the NSB then continues to pose a threat after the trial. Then you are certainly not protected by that trial, you were warned by it. If anything, the court outcome placed your character under increased scrutiny. What followed was repeated defiance, intelligence gathering on the NSB, obstruction and ultimately fleeing NSB custody during a military led breach this fully justified an IC response from the NSB beyond any legal proceedings. At that point it becomes entirely reasonable for the NSB to want to murder your character. You don't get to provoke the NSB repeatedly, get broken out of their custody by armed members of the military and then argue you should still be safe because you complied "eventually". Your decision to leave with them, regardless of intent is what made this PK justifiable along with your other actions. On top of that, there was an active case file detailing your conduct, including your internal statements referring to the NSB as kidnappers and criminals. That's not going to be taken lightly that's seen as a declarion of hositilty against the NSB, and it further supports the justification that your character had entered open opposition against the NSB.

While you claim it was “within jurisdiction,” the information being gathered wasn’t isolated to internal military affairs, it intersected repeatedly with NSB operations and personnel which we had obtained. You may not have issued formal orders, but the behavior formed part of a larger pattern of overreach and obstruction, especially after a prior conviction. PKs are not just about a single illegal act, they’re about cumulative behavior that becomes untenable. This was part of that. It’s only broad because the list is long. Post-trial, you continued to act in defiance, challenging detainment, refusing to provide documentation, resisting lines of questioning, and generally obstructing process (I specifically knew you'd react this way, which is why I pushed you in this direction.). Whether you felt justified doesn’t change the pattern of IC resistance that, over time, made your position indefensible. You were not targeted arbitrarily, you were given multiple chances to deescalate and work with me. You chose not to. You’re omitting what actually happened. You were broken out by armed individuals during an MOI breach and left the building with them. Whether you walked or were “told to leave at gunpoint” is not the issue—the issue is that you left at all. That behavior, in combination with prior escalation, is what sealed the PK. Whether Reto's PK was later appealed doesn’t change that your involvement in the breach was real and actionable. You’re treating this appeal as if it’s a court trial. It’s not. PKs are not decided on who “technically” committed a crime, they’re based on sustained, unrecoverable character trajectories that make continued RP what it is. I can argue technicalities all day, because I almost certainly think I am right in this situation, but that's not my point here. You had multiple high-profile infractions, were given multiple second chances, and continued to escalate, and they were all written down and verified. I was able to match your behavior to crimes committed, and got a PK approved because of that.

The character's description in the clip exactly matches the description for John Leon. I highly doubt staff would not only PK the wrong person, but that this "wrong person" would have the exact same faction and description as John Leon. I'm also going to go out on the limb and say someone did not hack into your Steam account, boot up Garry's Mod, join Prometheus Networks, and then start RPing as John Leon.

"Collecting and logging information on NSB" - Collecting statements and making reports isn't something I'd consider PKable. That's my job, and nothing was acted upon. Also, everything I made a report on was within my jursidction, whether it be violations of military policy, internal conflicts, or witness statements from military personnel. I never explicitly ordered information to be collected on NSB personnel; the only information I had gathered was when it related to witness statements from the military. "Publicly defied and antagonized NSB" - Super broad, I really don't even know what to say about this one given how broad that is. If anything I believe the reverse is truer as I have not been able to do much with my department after being repeatedly harassed by the NSB whether it be them trying to take me to trial, give up military documents, and or just accusing me of baseless things. Every time I am brought into the MOI it seems I am there from 2-5 hours each time as they repeatedly ask the same questions of me. It seems the NSB and the MOI as a whole publicly defied the War Marschall's marshal law and attempted to try me in a non-military court despite the siege law being enacted. "Present at the scene of an NSB agent's assassination" - I was in the cells and was instructed to leave at gunpoint. I willingly returned after I was requested to come back. Furthermore, Reto's PK was appealed, so a huge portion of this reason seems to be based on an overturned RP event.

Thank you for taking the time to make this appeal. I was not aware that the reverend wanted you to move the car, as you have not stated it to me. All you said was "Oh me and my friend were just fucking around" and "I didn't kill anybody". From my perspective, as I was no-clipped, u had pushed a car with a prop and had hit someone. And when I looked at your notes, there was one from May reading "Prop abuse, take flags next offense". Regarding the issue with my inactivity, I had forgotten to unfreeze you to bring you to a sit. Now I understand that it was non-peak hours with nobody at the base, and you just wanted to have some fun. But you do have to understand that props aren't supposed to be used for those purposes.
