Staff Knowledge Section
What previous experience so you have as a staff member either within Garry’s Mod or the Nutscript Gamemode?
I have experience on 30+ communities in Garry's Mod, including those with Nutscript in the form of both HL2RP servers and German Roleplay servers. I've held titles ranging from moderation to server leadership.
Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]:
I have a fair amount of experience in server moderation, and I'd say I have a fair grasp of what it entails. I try to deal with people fairly, and I don't have any issues of giving respect where due. I have very little difficulty controlling myself and maintaining a professional demeanor. I pride myself on a job well-done, and seek to accomplish any tasks assigned or taken up to the best of my abilities. I'm also a rather laid-back guy, and I don't mind chatting and having a good time with fellow server / staff members. Roleplay should be fun, and the role of moderation is to ensure a fair and balanced experience for all of our guests. While I remain with this community, I look forward to being a productive member of both the staff team and the community in good standing. I've come to appreciate this community for all its quirks and eccentricities, and I've also made friends with a few staff members and have become fond of the idea of joining their ranks. I suppose I see this as a way to help the community, to give back a little. I may be on the newer side of things, but I enjoy when I get the chance to meet interesting characters, see people's stories, and be a part of their experiences. I see this as an opportunity to be part of a mechanism where those stories can be expressed without significant interruption; but also as a way to help facilitate the roleplay and fun other people have on this server. It seems fitting that if I want to be part of a community that has fun together, works well together, and ultimately contributes to an amazing experience; I should try to be part of the team that facilitates that.
What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]:
The duties of a moderation team member would be to take tickets, respond to calls, and do whatever tasks appropriate for the rank I hold. I would assume this includes basic moderation duties such as taking tickets, giving notes, that sort of thing. The duties of moderation are fairly ubiquitous across servers I've found, so I expect much of the same that I've taken up in the past. The particulars of the job I am sure will be explained to me if / when I am accepted, but I have no difficulty in believing that this is within my wheelhouse. Back on topic, the duty of a member of the moderation team is to develop and maintain a fun, productive, and enjoyable roleplay environment for the community we serve. It's a volunteer opportunity for those who want to provide for their community, and that's how I intend to treat it. I see it as a service I can provide to a community I've come to enjoy.
