Staff Knowledge Section
What previous experience so you have as a staff member either within Garry’s Mod or the Nutscript Gamemode? - I was Upper Administration on Typhon Networks for a year, working my way through the ranks of the staff team from Moderator. I am very familiar with the Nutscript gamemode, having been around since 2020.
Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]:
I believe that I am a good pick for the Staff Team because I have a deep understanding of the mechanics of the gamemode, as well as a good connection to the general player base. I am a natural leader and a good communicator with other people, as well as a good delegator. My knowledge of the gamemode itself, paired with my real life skillset and knowledge, position me as an advisor and guide to many on the server. I have led every faction and have served in most, if not all, positions of National High Command, which means I understand not only the elements that go into the facilitation of roleplay, but I can also answer both RP and OOC questions for many of the players. Giving me the tools to be a member of the staff team will further this ability of mine, and allow for a smoother experience for the players.
As a staff member, I wouldn't be learning the ropes, I'd be reinforcing them. I know the difference between what's fun and what's fair, and I understand what it takes to get the job done. I understand the rules themselves, and I know that the staff's job is not to dominate but to maintain the immersion levels. I am impartial when needed, decisive when necessary, and generally am able to make decision that can aid in the preservation of high-quality roleplay throughout the community.
Ultimately, having enjoyed all the server can offer, I'd like to give back to the community by contributing to the staff team, maintain the server environment, and ensure that the players have the opportunities they need to shape the future vision and integrity of the server. Whether I am now dealing with the intricacies of the Federal Council, or I am helping a new player with his model, I strive to make the server feel welcoming, professional, and exciting.
What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]:
As a moderator, the primary responsibility is to be the first-level response for the players. Moderators and staff are responsible for making sure that the server's roleplay and general experiences flow smoothly, and are not interrupted by those who want to disturb the RP, or moments that take others out of the immersion. Moderators ensure that the in-game experience remains immersive, respectful, and operational by dealing with rule breaks, resolving disputes, and guiding new or returning players through server mechanics and standards. Furthermore, the moderator team should be monitoring behavior that disrupts not just gameplay, but also the experience of the community as a whole. The moderators should keep their ears to the ground to pick up anything such as harassment, offenses outside of the game itself that may disrupt the balance of the server, and infect the player base through issues such as doxxing, metagaming, or abuse. But most importantly, moderators help cultivate the tone and culture of the server by upholding what the server promises.
