Upon further investigation (via logs), it would appear that it was infact not you who started the gunfight. I apologise for this, I approved the PK based on the video evidence alone, and was told it was you in the clip by another staff member. However, during the sit you were supposedly provided the clip and your response was "I was following orders", which was taken as admission of guilt. If that was the case, please be more specific when answering questions like that. Although I cannot approve the appeal, I recommend its approval.

Hello, I was the staff member who approved your PK. This was the evidence given to me: link. In this clip, it very obviously shows you opening fire into the crowd and then dying. Hence, you were PKed for starting a gunfight. Following orders doesn't mean you are excused from punishment for your character, though it could lead to other IC consequences for the officer who issued the order.

Hello, I am the staff member who authorised your PK. I want to clarify that the PK guidelines do not only allow for griefPKs for harm being done, but also for causing 'grief' to the player. I believe that the threat you issued during the scene was sufficient to fall under grief, as it implied a threat to the position and possibly the life of the player, via a possible court ruling. It also would seem not be the first instance of this happening. Secondly, I want to clarify as to why I think this wouldn't fall under DirtPK. Dirt PKs are done to silence an individual who might provide information to, let's say, a judge or a superior officer. In this case, this was a result of a direct threat of action and not simply blackmail.

Hello, I am the staff member who approved your PK. I agree with what Spooks said, and simply want to add on a few things. Even if you couldn't hear the civilians in the clip issuing orders, it is implied that they want to detain you by the fact that you were surrounded with guns drawn on you, and that one of them tried to put restraints on you, which you resisted. You did not need audio to understand that you were being detained. Regarding your technical issues, you mentioned that you had a problem with your audio, evidence for which you haven't shown. Instead, you showed evidence of your monitor being faulty, which didn't seem to be an issue during the incident and the sit following it.

In a written report by a member of the Ouroboros, you were named as the 'ringleader' of the attempted raid of the OB facility and kidnapping of OB Personnel. When we took you in for questioning, you gave vague and contradictory answers, which led me to believe that you're lying to me. Hence, I requested the Praetor to issue the order.

Hello, I am the staff member who PKed you. I first want to clarify that the reason you were PKed was due to you initiating a gunfight whilst raiding the MOI, and not because you broke 'Forced RP'. Secondly, I am confused because half of the information written in this appeal was not given to me during the sit, even though I asked you if you had anything else to say about 10 times, when you were both by yourself and with the reporting party. While you did bring up the fact that a mountaineer told you to go inside the MOI, you never told me you were threatened to do so. Further, the mountaineer who told you to go inside did, in fact, come with you, and I believe died. Finally, you did not just 'enter(ed) the base first" and get "immediately killed", you opened fire and killed a member of the NSB after which you were killed.

Hello, I am the staff member who authorised and carried out your PK. I don't believe being drunk is an excuse, but that is up to UA to decide. Regarding the situation, you were given plenty of time to react, and you refused to comply; hence, you were shot and PKed. My only recommendation for the future is not to get on the server, especially your main character, while drunk.

Hello, I was the staff member who authorised and conducted your PK. When you are under gunpoint, you are automatically placed under FearRP (there are some exceptions to this, but not in this case). If you refuse to follow the instructions given to you while you're under FearRP, as you did and admitted to doing in the Staff Sit and this appeal, you are risking your Character's life. Because you died while breaking FearRP, you were PKed. Furthermore, you also stated that you died after starting a gunfight, which is also a PK'able offence. To provide clarification on PK Guidelines and general rules, as I believe you have confused them a bit. You were permitted to open fire on an active threat, and as they were pointing guns at you, they were in fact being an active threat. However, that does not exclude you from a possible PK but instead an RDM violation. That clause is there to give you an idea of situations in which you are allowed to shoot, and it would not be considered RDM. Regarding the New-Life Rule, when you die, you forget the past 20 minutes of your life (unless it was a mass shooting in the open). However, others who did not die (like the ones who shot you) still remember the actions you took in those past 20 minutes.

Hello, I am the staff member who approved the PK. This PK was issued due to the request of the Interior Court Richter who oversaw your court case. A PK is also a form of judicial punishment if the charges are deemed sufficient. In your case, that was the ruling from the courts. Regarding the fact that you were AFK, such a choice or mistake is not a reason to void in-character punishment or interaction, as that would not be fair to the experience of the other party in this interaction.

Hello, I am the member of staff who conducted the PK. Although the video doesn't show any events that took place before this situation, it does show you being put under FearRP (Being placed at gunpoint), and you choosing to retaliate by pulling your own weapon out and attempting to kill both of the assailants. Because you died while risking your character's life, you were issued a PK on that character. Regarding your statement on previous events, such as the RDM and NLR Break, you mentioned. Because there is no evidence on your behalf regarding these events, I could not take them into account when deciding whether to proceed with the PK or not. I understand that in your eyes, this might be extremely unfair, but I cannot take action without proof. This is why I showed you the medal.tv recording software, because it is extremely useful for taking recordings for situations like these.

Hello, apologies for the late response. I will first comment on the PK itself. You are correct in saying that I cannot PK a CO+; however, I was permitted to do so by Administrator R4ged, something I did in fact mention in your sit. Secondly, on your argument that this was PK Bait, which is indeed not allowed. Although the passenger suggested that Jack ram your vehicle, it is clear that he was attempting to overtake you safely until you swerved in his path in an attempt to stop his vehicle. Therefore, I do not believe this is PK Bait. Finally, regarding the gunfight situation. Even if you were attempting to shoot at Jack's vehicle, you were in fact still shooting at him, as you were shooting in a vehicle he was actively operating. Even if you were attempting to shoot out his tires, you could have blown up the vehicle and killed him; hence, this is considered a gunfight against Jack. Regarding the fact that he killed you ~10s after you actually shot him, and that "upon the time of me being shot: I was not at all shooting myself." This does not change the fact that Jack was responding to you initiating a gunfight with him; he simply moved to cover before returning fire, which is a reasonable action. I believe I responded to all of your points. If I have missed any, please feel free to remind me, and I will do so.

I'd say normally when your game is full of bugged textures, you would try and ask for advice in OOC, from staff, or leave the game quickly. Not type 'help I need to piss' in OOC and then run off. Further, the fact you're playing max-boosted volume music is not an excuse, as you can easily not play it and be able to hear people. The way you are choosing to play the game isn't a reason for others to have to shout or type in order for you to hear them. In regards to your detainment, that is an In-Character action and isn't an excuse to leave the game, however as you are curious, you seem to have been detained for breaking a law.

Hello, I am the Moderator who banned you. In the clip I was provided, as well as logs, it is very obvious that you left the server whilst in cuffs, hence the Leaving to Avoid Role Play (LTARP) ban. This, alongside your previous offenses of similar actions, resulted in the 5 day ban. Further, the clip shows that you had plenty of time since you joined to realise your textures were faulty and leave the server, but instead you walked around and got detained.
