Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]: 

Having been part of this community for quite a while now, I've been through countless experiences, each of them teaching me progressively more about the server & its community. I've grown very fond of it all; the laughs, the memorable RP moments and the people, so much so that joining everyday for at least a couple of hours has been one of my favorite pastimes for a while now. As such, I though to myself: wouldn't it be great to also help the community in a more direct manner, while you're having fun? This here is the basis of my wish to become staff.

While I have no tolerance for liars and people who actively abuse/break the rules and therefore infringe on other people's fun and well-being, I am the type of person who always prefers to defuse conflicts, as opposed to escalating them, this is also why I rarely react to insults or provocations and firmly believe that 90% of the conflicts can be resolved if all parties involved understand the issue at hand, all of them are allowed to say their piece (in a respectful manner) and allow of them comprehend the measures taken to resolve the conflict. Of course, I'm aware this method isn't always going to work, as we're all people and have different opinions and emotions, but I always strive to achieve as much success as possible through the steps I have mentioned prior. The ultimate goal is to ensure that everybody has a good time on this server, even if this means punishing the ones who abuse/break the rules.

While I may not have prior experience as a staff member, I am always eager to learn and listen to the more experienced staff members; I will also rely on my knowledge and understanding of Prometheus' guidelines and how they are applied, which I have gained through being part of several admin sits and observing other Staff members at work, as well as on my rationality and maturity, in order perform my tasks well.

To conclude, I believe that my knowledge and skills, coupled with the genuine desire to help people, would make me a valuable member of the Staff Team and I hope that I'll be granted the opportunity to prove it to the community!

What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]:

The main duty of a Staff member, in my belief, is to ensure that the experience the players are having, while on the server, is a positive one. There are two ways I would chose in order to achieve this:

• Active: taking tickets and sits to answer questions, get a recruit into the right uniform & right faction, resolve RP situations or conflicts (for example: RDM)
• Passive: roam around the map and observe the players, so that if a situation/problem arises, you can then actively intervene as fast as possible. (for example: prop abusing, VDM)

When dealing with a conflict, I will ensure that I have all the facts, using the method I have mentioned in the second paragraph, so that I can apply the best solution possible. (a note or even a ban -  in more severe cases or repeated violations). I would also consult with one or more Staff members, if the situation requires it.

And last but not least, a Staff member needs to be unbiased and respectful of everybody.

These are, in my view, the duties and responsibilities that I would adhere to.
