Explain why you were PK'd: Hound threatened to PK all of my friend's characters and called him a retard so I told hound that he "Obviously hasn't had his Medium-Large pizza today".

Why should you be un-PK'd?: 

 

I should be unPKed because at no point did I break any PK guideline. My character did not commit high treason, engage in a shootout, raid a sewer lair, or attempt to blackmail a senior official with forbidden knowledge. My only crime — if it can be called that — is telling the Server Manager that he's angry because he didn't have a Medium-Large pizza, which, in my defense, is likely true. Much as judges who eat lunch before sentencing give harsher punishments, Hound, without a medium pizza, a large Dr. Pepper, and a side of wings, gives harsh punishments on an empty stomach. 

Studies do, in fact, show that people sentenced before lunch receive an average of 30% harsher penalties. In the same spirit, I merely implied that Hound's judgement might be suffering from a similar deficiency, especially with calling us retards and threatening to PK all of my friends characters. My comment was an attempt at humor in response to what had already become a needlessly hostile situation — one in which Hound referred to my friend by calling him a retard and threatening to PK all of his characters. While my comment may not have made him feel very good- it certainly didn’t meet any criteria for a permanent kill.

On a serious note, while staff discretion is a necessary part of server management, it should not override the written PK guidelines or replace the rule of law with personal emotion. The server functions best when authority is exercised with consistency, not whim. Hound is a manager, not a sovereign, and decisions — especially permanent ones — should be grounded in policy, not pride. My character is involved in incrocate RP from gathering evidence on specific groups to even planning to 'liquidate' certain individuals as chief of the Kripo (LKA), we can't allow a joke or even an insult said OOCly to put an end to the story. If we allow personal offense to bypass our processes, we erode the very structure that makes serious RP possible. I’m simply asking for the standards we all agreed to be upheld — nothing more, nothing less.

I was 100% going to unPK your character despite this whole situation being hilarious, however, you are grandious grandstanding moron. You are asking for an appeal from one of my highest ranking indiviudals and you decide to goad and bait instead of stating what was wrong and why it was wrong. This is the internet. This is a GMOD Server. We are not required to follow any wills or whims but the ones that we decide. I often allow my own personal greivances to be ignored simply for the betterment of the server.
