What previous experience so you have as a staff member either within Garry’s Mod or the Nutscript Gamemode?

I've been on GMOD for years at this point and have had a lot of experience in terms of nutscript and staffing. I was previously a staff member on Prometheus, so I have previous knowledge of the gamemode already.

Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]:

I believe that I am a strong candidate for the staff team due to my previous experience and dedication to staffing along with my hard work ethic. My previous staff experience mostly comes from my time spent on Prometheus. Back from 2023 through to 2024, I was an admin on the server, delivering high-quality administration and service to players on the server to ensure the smooth operation and continuation of roleplay. 

Previously, my time spent on duty as staff was spent in a different time zone than most of the player base and the majority of the other staff. As my time zone is AEST/EST+10, it allows me to be active at hours where the server is lower pop, and it may be harder for other staff to be active. With my time zone being so far ahead, it allows me to continue moderating and promoting roleplay, sort of after most of the main events occur at peak hours.

Over the years, I've matured and learned new skills, which makes me an even stronger candidate than previously. One of these skills I am very proficient in is customer service. Using this, I am able to quickly and decisively make hard decisions and solve problems under pressure, finalising a solution that will benefit according to server rules and current regulations. Also, considering fairness in all cases, obviously not everyone needs to be banned or noted; just simple rule explanations may be just what is needed, every situation is different.

The points I've described above demonstrate why I should be chosen to be a returning staff member on Prometheus. With extensive history in administration/moderation, my strong decision-making skills and my time zone, which allows me to be active during unusual server hours, I believe I would be another great addition to the moderation team.

What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]:

The roles and responsibilities of the position seem basic, but are complex and require a certain person to commit to the role. The moderation team is what keeps a player base on a GMOD server coming back; a bad team will drive away players, but a strong one will bring more in. Staff are there not only to enforce rules but to promote roleplay and fairness within the game mode. For example, one moment, staff can be running a gamemaster-led event, but then they can be handling a mass RDM where they are making a decision on what sort of punishment the person who committed it should receive. This position has a diverse range of responsibilities and duties that whoever is in it must follow, so it is expected that they are active and not troublesome members of the community. Staff should be model role players and community members that other players look at for guidance.
