How long have you been roleplaying?:

In 1942 RP since 2021, Star Wars RP 2019, now that I am graduating from college, I can sink more time into the server. 

Have you received any infractions, i.e., Notes/Bans? If so, what were they for, and what could you have done to prevent getting them next time?:

One note from 2022 for RDM, it was a case of a Leutnant who took his pistol off safety near my VIP, and I executed him. In the future, trigger control and warning them to put the weapon down first would have prevented the whole situation.
Staff Knowledge Section
What previous experience do you have as a staff member, either within Garry’s Mod or the Nutscript Gamemode?

Within Garry's Mod in general, I have a healthy amount of experience in staffing, such as a Game Master and Senior Moderator for Gaminglight Imperial RP in 2021. Duties included making daily events/storyline event moderating, disputes between players, recruitment of staff, form moderation, as well as other miscellaneous tasks that were assigned to me. However, my Nutscript experience is a bit more minimal. I assisted with a friend of mine's 1942 Soviet RP "failed" startup in 2022. So I understand the character system and other basics of it, but I am not familiar with more advanced concepts. 

Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]:

There are several reasons I should be selected to staff for Prometheus, from being an adept mediator, having been around for several years, and experience in complex situations that require other witnesses. Now that my schedule has cleared up, I will be graduating from college very soon. I feel it is time to accept the challenge of applying to become staff. 

As a person, one of my biggest strengths is mediation, both in my professional life (real life) and interpersonal. I find a sense of satisfaction in mediating between two parties arguing and coming to a conclusion. From my time in 1942RP, I know some of these Larpers get very heated over mundane things and need a cool and calm person to mediate. I am confident in my ability to hear both sides of a story objectively and piece together a more complete and accurate understanding before a decision is made.

 One thing I also recognize, and it's a bonus to being staff on the server, is that people lie, and will exclude items that make them look bad. Taking a grain of salt from both sides and using basic logic to identify fact, half-fact, and false is key to any ticket that involves two debating players.  As Dr House says, “Everybody Lies.” 

An example of this comes from many years ago when I staffed Imperial RRP. Two department heads were at odds, after a minor “civil war,” saying they each should be PK’ed for Fear RP, being an idiot, and other insults. Neither had clips. Bringing in one NCO from each team separately, speaking with them a bit more, and a random Imperial Guard bystander also allowed me to discover the Shock Captain was telling half-truths, had initiated the gun fight, and needed to die. 

To summarize what I have laid out for myself as a staff member, I am an adept mediator able to decipher and discover the truth behind players who want to protect themselves. I can also put the effort into the server, and overall, I want to see Prometheus be a better and safer community.
 

What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]:

The duties of staff are numerous and ever-expanding. From administrative tasks, such as promotions, to player mediation. One of the most common tickets is promotions and transfers. I would expect 50+ tickets a day to go in this category. While doing the task of promotion, it is important to be familiar with the promotion cooldown: 1 day for enlisted, 2 days for NCO’s, and 3 days for Officers. To ensure someone is not being freely promoted, while also being familiar with the proper uniforms and rank names. One of the other most common tickets would be RDM/player disputes. To summarize, I've already discussed player mediation/disputes in why I should be staff, using all the information available, other players (searching for the least bias), clips, and other staff, to find the best possible outcome, whether that be a note, kick, PK, or ban. Finally is general community outreach, while the Root(s) are the “face” of the community, the staff is their extension for outreach to players, enforces the rules, but also being friendly so players don't hesitate to reach out if they need help. While also serving as mentors to more junior staff.
