Why were you banned?:  MRDM (apparently)

Why do you deserve to be unbanned?: 

I should be unbanned because the situation that led to my ban was chaotic. A player (a “marine”) attempted to restrain me, and I clearly warned them not to proceed. Despite that warning, they attempted to restrain me again. In response, I acted in what I believed was self-defense within the rules of the server.

At no point was I brought to a formal sit or given a chance to properly explain my perspective before the ban was issued. From my understanding, I was still actively involved in the encounter and believed I was responding appropriately to an immediate threat rather than intentionally breaking roleplay rules.

I followed orders from my superiors in the Kaiserguard to the letter. I stood my ground and defended myself. I had shot a Marine before as well, beforehand, after he had fired on another Kaiserguard, and there was no issue with that incident. On top of all this, when I was banned, I was in the middle of being arrested anyway, so the in-game system would have decided my fate, and I would have been able to defend myself since I wasn’t brought to a sit.

I respect the server rules and staff decisions, and I’m not trying to argue against authority, only to clarify that I did not intend to break rules or disrupt roleplay. I would appreciate the opportunity to return and continue playing while following proper procedures more carefully moving forward.

Additional Information: 

I'm off to college in 3 months, so this ban is effectively a permaban if it's not shortened or revoked.

Well, then I guess you weren't the person who was trying to restrain me, and if that's the case, I apologize for the confusion. However, I do remember being restrained at the time. Unfortunately, I didn't think to clip it, so I can't provide evidence for that claim.

That said, I still feel the situation could have been handled differently. From my understanding, being brought into a staff sit or facing an in-roleplay trial would have allowed me to explain my actions and understand what rule I was allegedly breaking before receiving a ban.

I also respectfully don't understand the MRDM reasoning. As far as I am aware, I only killed one person, so I'm having trouble seeing how that fits the definition. If I'm missing something, I'd genuinely appreciate it if you could explain the reasoning so I can better understand the decision.

I do wish to also clarify my primary issue with my ban is that I wasn't brought into a sit and that I feel I should have been pked at most because I was shooting in RP not just because I could.
