UA posted: "UA | Reminder, gun-bashing mass groups of people is also an intiation of a gunfight."

Then a minute after a military member gun-bashes me, I gun him down. Never shot anyone except the guy who gunbashed me, so it's not like I Mass RDMed. I didn't get a sit or anything, so I would've just said that then, but I got banned on the spot.

I put dispute / apology because if his gun-bash didn't damage me, and I'm in the wrong, then I'm sorry about that. I would've explained that in a sit, were I given one.

Additional Information: No POs, no notes afaik.

Just because someone bashed you doesn't mean the situation calls for a gun fight. 

Taking the UA Reminder as completely black and white, or many of the rules as black and white, is being intentionally obtuse.

Bashing =/= shooting someone. Nor does it equal lethal force. Punching someone can also be considered the intiation of a fight, but if two generals getting upset in a meeting and start trading blows and one of their guards just gun them down, that guard is getting absolutely decimated in a ban. Context is widly important. As I have said ad nauseam, contextualize!

I am told there were 15~ odd people in the situation you were in, and everyone has told me nothing in the situation required a gun fight to occur. Starting random gun fights because you don't want to RP (arrest, yelling, reports, etc.) really isn't our problem.

I mean totally fair, I agree. I raise my gun, he raises his, and I would've been the one gunned down, and they could be the one banned. Maybe bad judgement call then. He gun-bashes me, we raise our guns, in my mind I'm like dang this guy is about to gun me down because he thinks I want to gun him down. In my mind, fear in-game has always been about do I think this guy is going to kill me, and in that moment I thought he was gonna kill me. I didn't go gunning in the streets, I put down the individual threat and then retreated inside because I value my characters life.

To say I don't want to RP isn't totally fair. I mean I've been playing seriously in the KG all week. Guarded the trial today. I'm not a fresh Grenadier with a Kar98 and a bloodlust.

Again, no POs, have been a rule follower. Maybe bad judgement call on this one, so I accept that. Just wanted to come onto the forums and give my piece as I wasn't afforded that opportunity in game. If UA thinks a week is fair, that's is okay by me, I apologize. Just wanted to explain my side and rationale behind it.

Personally though, I think a week is excessive. I wouldn't be making the appeal if I didn't genuinely think I was in the right during that situation. The ban came as a surprise to me.
