Forschungsassistent Valentin Johann von Winterfeld

Valentin is a scientist of the Ouroboros, serving within the Mechanicus Section. Valentin led the development of Project CHROMA — the first practical color camera.  He writes very detailed documents on a multitude of things.  Along with building things to go along with such documents on the occasion. He mainly enjoys doing document work and making sure it perfect. 

 

How long have you been roleplaying?: Multiple years spanning from different servers. I enjoy any roleplay in things I enjoy and history is one of the biggest things for me so I enjoy roleplaying being apart of it.

 

Have you received any infractions i.e Notes/Bans? If so, what were they for and what could you have done to prevent getting them next time?: One for LTAP. I died after an attempt of me being detained and I left the server when I first joined, because I wasen't familiar with the rules like I should've been. One way I could've prevented it is by not leaving and engaging in the roleplay instead of going to bed.

What previous experience do you have as a staff member either within Garry’s Mod or the Nutscript Gamemode?Previous experiences I've had before are with discord servers and I made the rules for some of them and I always made sure people followed them, used channels correctly and other sorts of things. I've also staffed on IFN.GG for a long period, but resigned when I was done with IFN.GG I can show proof if need be.

 

Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]: 

I believe my qualities and views line up very well with what a good staff member should. I’m stern, but also understanding and willing to teach and correct harmless mistakes. I enjoy enforcing laws and making a safe environment. It's what I'm passionate about. I wouldn’t want people's experiences ruined because someone can't follow the rules. I’ve seen it time and time again and if I can help make a change and help others it's what I'll do. After I'm done being a plumber, I actually want to pursue a career in law enforcement or military police. I should be accepted into the staff team because I have many traits that can help the community and staff team as a whole. For example, one of these traits is being persistent. I'm also very patient with people and learned it's a valuable trait because you can scare someone easily or run them off and upset another and I wouldn't want that for anyone. These traits will help me become a better staff member as I am persistent with my hours and on during the late hours and my quota so I will be constantly doing my job as a staff member and keeping the server as a whole, my patients will also help me become a better staff member because I won't just ban players immediately I will sit and listen to them and hear them out besides the ones that have clearly done wrong and no reason for talk.  I'll admit I don’t know all the rules, but I want to learn them all from the book and follow them and enforce them. I would also like to grow the staff team by possibly joining the recruitment team and bringing others into the staff team because staff members helped me grow and learn and improved my experience and I would like to do that for others. I would also help the community grow by being a good staff member someone people can trust and rely on. I would also be keeping the community safe and by doing so improve the chances of new players joining and wanting to become long term players. 

 

What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]: 

To me, duties and responsibilities of a staff member seem to be extremely important. It is the role of the staff to assist players in case of any problem and provide answers to the players' questions. The staff is supposed to be a source of reliable advice and help for those who ask for it. One of the other responsibilities of a staff member is making sure that the rules of the server are clear for everyone so that all players will have an opportunity to enjoy roleplaying free from any interruptions. Besides that, the staff is supposed to deal with reports and conflicts in a professional way. In case there are several people involved in a conflict, the staff needs to remain impartial, to listen to each of the parties and make their decisions based on the available facts only. Thus, it is possible to say that the duties and responsibilities of a staff member are quite wide-ranging and extremely important.
