Why should your organization be accepted? [100 words or more]:
The Dolfi Family is a faction designed to offer completely serious, immersive, and character-driver roleplay, laid in stone by real world history, and the Italian-American Experience of the 1960s. While our hierarchy is based on La Cosa Nostra, this isn't just some 'Mafia' faction. We aim to correctly portray an authentic, tight-knit group of hard working Italian American's who decided to join this life out of need, not want. A real community with different sets of culture, values,  and identity. who allegedly happen to be involved in organized crime.

Our faction is built around a small family from New York, and especially not Sicily. Those before the war who grew up together, bonded primarily by neighborhood loyalty, and slowly becoming part of something larger then the race themselves. This is a family, where people go to church, eat dinner together on Sundays, and call each others mothers 'ma'. That sense of family and tradition of Italian-American's trying to become more 'American' through trial and error with its new government.

We're devoutly committed to cultural and community rp, as I said earlier, not just criminal RP. One of our long-term goals is to involve the small businesses or organizations creating interactions with local leaders in New York and the regional government. This allows us to emphasize more on themes that are often forgotten about, such as ethnic identity, police harassment, and pride, while directly giving the faction more depth and legitimacy.

Provide an example of the unique roleplay your organization will bring to the server:

We're not looking to make power plays throughout the city/roleplay. Just have something that we can call home, and enter the city with a group of our friends and not worry about roleplaying as a government agency. Our Primary goal is to enhance civilian roleplay/criminal roleplay as a whole. Our biggest goal is to mainly open a restaurant some place we can call home!

What is the backstory of your organization? [200 words or more]: The Rise of a Don. Gustavo “Gus” Dolfi was born in 1915 in Little Italy, New York City, to a poor Italian American family struggling to survive. His father worked the docks, while his mother cooked traditional Italian meals in their cramped tenement apartment. From a young age, Gus understood that life rewarded the strong and punished the weak. At twelve, Gus began selling meatballs, sausages, and fresh bread from a small street cart. He worked from sunrise until dark, enduring freezing winters, cruel customers, and neighborhood bullies. When his father died, Gus became the family's provider, determined that his mother and younger siblings would never starve. He met a boy named DaSilva and would grow a large bond with him.

Then came the war that changed America forever. In this history, the United States suffered a devastating defeat against the German Empire. New York fell under imperial authority, food became scarce, and American families struggled beneath strict rationing and military occupation. Gus watched neighbors disappear, businesses collapse, and americans turning against each other working for the empire. And once-proud men beg for scraps. Despite everything, he refused to surrender. He continued selling Italian food on street corners, feeding hungry workers and occasionally giving meals to families who couldn't pay. His generosity earned him respect, while his sharp mind helped him establish connections with merchants, dockworkers, and influential neighborhood figures.

Gus developed a complicated admiration for Emperor Hendrik Baumer. Though he resented the suffering caused by the occupation, he respected Baumer's discipline, strategic intelligence, and commanding authority. Gus studied the emperor's rise, believing that understanding power was essential to surviving a world ruled by stronger men. After the war, Gus expanded his food business into restaurants and social clubs. Gradually, his connections evolved into an underworld organization built on gambling, protection rackets, and illicit trade. By 1950, he had founded the Dolfi Crime Family, becoming a feared and respected figure throughout New York. Always impeccably dressed in brown suits, Gus wore a golden signet ring inherited from his father. He had survived poverty, war, and occupation. Now, the streets that once tested him belonged to him. Gus Dolfi had transformed hunger into ambition, hardship into strength, and survival into power. The time of making you food and under the table, sells you drugs and guns starts with the Dolfi crime family
