Why should you be un-PK'd?: the crime did not happen and i lost a court case due to lack of evidence

I was called to the situation to get a PK conducted on yourself for Desertion.
You had been found guilty in the military was courts which has proper jurisdiction over your character. 
Desertion is a class one felony and can lead to death.
