NSB-Polizeikommandeur Hendrik Dewulf: The Inspector of the National Security Bureau, my duties on this character are far and wide. I am responsible for all things administrative-related within the Bureau. My job is to ensure that the NSB maintains its standards while also assisting the Director and his deputy with legal and administrative issues. I am also responsible for legal documents, document formats, guidebooks, and training documents. I also do role management, rostering, and warrant disk IDs. Due to my commissions in both GSD and BSD, I also help in or compose case files, and do the groundwork with other agents while also ensuring the legality of their operations is being upheld in the field.

Obergefreiter Harrier Dupont: A basic trooper of the Luftwaffe that carries out orders and asks little questions. This character is rather irrelevant and I don't use him much.

How long have you been roleplaying?: Since 2015

Have you received any infractions i.e Notes/Bans? If so, what were they for and what could you have done to prevent getting them next time?: No, I did not.

Staff Knowledge Section

What previous experience so you have as a staff member either within Garry’s Mod or the Nutscript Gamemode?

I used to be a staff member on many Gmod servers/gamemodes here and there. Still, the most notable and longer stays would be with a Serious RP Clockwork (later Helix) community where I was an administrator and the Gamemaster. I think I was a staff member for them for 2-3 years, during that time I learned a great deal about the gamemode. Since Helix is pretty much Nutscript but violet I do have an extensive knowledge of how the framework works. I am also experienced with building tools so if you need that covered then I got you.

Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]:

It is essential to be selective with your moderator choices as those people are ultimately the face of the community. Those are the guys that will be dealing with playerbase's issues constantly and I do understand the need for having someone composed, polite, and patient for this type of role. I can assure you that I am a mature person who has the necessary experience to handle even the worst type of offenders in a professional manner. I spent a good amount of my time on gmod being a staff member because I like to assist people with their problems and I do want to support the community I am a part of if I consider it worthwhile.  After first time joining this server I really didn't know what I was getting into, I had no prior knowledge of Prometheus or people that were part of this community, but after months of playing here I do think that this is a community I want to get myself involved with seriously and if I do so, I want to also support it back with my time. And what's the better way to support it if not becoming a staff member. I also think that becoming a staff member would be a great learning experience and an opportunity to meet a wider range of people from all sides of the conflict.

Moving on, I'm a person that soaks up knowledge pretty fast, I do have more than two brain cells so you don't have to explain to me for hours how to do one simple thing. I can think for myself and use common sense so handling any difficult situations shouldn't be much of a problem for me. I do believe that I have pretty good judgment and a way with people that helps me defuse difficult situations by just talking. As a staff member, the last thing I'd want to do is to make enemies with other people, not only that'd make my reputation bad, but also harm the reputation of this community.

Finally, I understand I may be alien to some of you people, others met me through the RP, but at the end of the day they met the character I was roleplaying. There may be a hesitation to support my application by many of you because we haven't talked OOC'ly, we didn't get to know eachother and so on. I wish I could put your worries at ease with a snap of my fingers, but I don't think that's possible at the moment. So hey, if you could trust me on this one that'd be great, by having me around your tickets will get answered quicker and I'd be more than happy to help you out if any issues you have, but you need to help me out here first. And if you don't, that's fine, we'll get to know eachother in the future and be able to come back to that conversation on a later date. Eitherway, thanks for reading. What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]:

The most obvious role of a staff member is moderating the player base to ensure that everyone follows the rules and to correct those who don’t. However, I believe this isn’t the most important aspect. Being helpful to the player base and solving their issues is far more important. A great staff team is respectful and polite towards players, which makes them happier and more keen to follow the rules, and could be more easily persuaded to not act wrongfully if need be. As a staff member, you also take on an unofficial role as a community manager. While some individuals may be officially assigned that title, as a staff member, you are the one 90% of the player base will interact with, rather than the dedicated "face" of Prometheus. You are often the first to respond to players’ issues, and as a result, their first impression of the community. This is why it's very important to remain toned and helpful at all times.

Fair moderation is also extremely important (since this is what staff does primarily). There cannot be situations where a player is treated unfairly, and allowing people to break the rules freely guarantees that such situations will happen. A good moderator handles all infractions with an objective mindset, carefully reviewing all evidence before determining whether a rule has been broken. If a rule has indeed been violated, it’s essential to explain to the player how and why. Punishments aren’t just about penalizing someone; they are an opportunity to educate the player, so he understands what he did wrong and doesn’t do it again.

Finally, staff members play an important role in aiding players on our server. While making sure that people play by the rules is essential, you’re also there to help with any issues a player may encounter, whether simple, complex or seemingly trivial. By dedicating your time to resolving someone's issues, you create a positive experience, which will likely encourage that person to enjoy his time on the server. The staff team exists to ensure smooth gameplay, and anything that disrupts this should be quickly addressed. Additionally, players often have questions about various things regarding the server and will frequently turn to staff for answers. It's understandable for them to expect that staff members are knowledgeable about all things server-related. Therefore, being well-educated in the workings of the server is an important responsibility that enables you to perform better as a staff member.
