  1. Description of the idea: Intelligence RP is a very fascinating aspect of Prometheus, offering diverse routes and opportunities for players who actively participate in Intelligence RP. However, its potential has been constrained by certain underutilized features. One such feature is audio recordings, which could revolutionize the way Intelligence RP operates. From enabling more espionage opportunities to providing evidence in court cases, audio recordings equip agents with more tools to be used against their opposition. Unfortunately, this feature has been left redundant for way too long. Very few people know they exist, the only people who are able to approve and oversee them are typically very busy and the rules constraining Audio Recordings are a little unbalanced and make audio recordings not really worth the time. I can see why uniform stealing RP is constrained to UA, due to what you could do with that, but audio recordings have a broader range of use and would therefore be used by more agents. Nobody encourages it anymore, which is rather sad to see. An obvious solution to this would be to just remove Audio Recordings from the Intelligence Rules and call it a day, but why do that when you can revitalize them and make them useful without essentially making it absurdly overpowered? With enough care and effort, you could turn it from just another redundant feature to a useful tool that can change the tides or backfire depending on how its used. It's not only effective, but it's unpredictable, as recording the wrong conversations can lead to the agent's demise and getting caught can also lead to the agent's demise. Unpredictability is very fun. First, I believe that the approval threshold should be lowered to Senior Administrator+, or to Administrator+ with UA approval. If an administrator can approve government PK's on anyone up to faction leads, it would be reasonable enough that they would have the trust and responsibility in them to oversee audio recordings, only requiring approval from a UA member (Staff have significantly easier access to UA anyway). It is implied in the rules that audio recordings can be both portable (via attached microphone devices), or grounded. It would make sense if both mediums had their advantages and disadvantages too. Agents who have microphones attached to their collar sleeve would A: Need to roleplay attaching it on them via /me and B: would only be able to record audio conversations for two minutes maximum. The player would also need to do /me turns on microphone to start recording (and to indicate to the overseeing staff member that they are recording from then on), only needing to edit their audio recording to cut off any footage after the two minute mark before using it ICly (they can't cut any footage recorded prior to turning the microphone on). Now you might ask, "how do we identify players who are recording or are potentially recording conversations?" Very easy solution. Have the overseeing staff member force the player to put in their description "You would notice the man has a microphone attached to their collar sleeve." This allows for anyone to identify when an agent has a microphone attached on their collar sleeve and forces agents to be careful about it. As for those recording interrogations and whatnot, with grounded recording devices, recording would be 7 minutes max and would require the player to have pet flags to be able to place the equipment necessary to record said audio and would also have to be roleplayed out properly via /me's, like /me turns on recording equipment and whatnot. Audio Recordings should also only be approved if it is proven that doing so would be absolutely beneficial, like significantly more beneficial than if they just wrote about it. Recording a dossier you're doing, unless the person in question is being extremely uncooperative, is inherently cringe and wastes staff's time. Optionally, have the player distort their audio a little bit, i don't know maybe for rp realism or some shit but that would be unnecessary. Maybe I'm just that kinda guy that likes to be larpy like that. Why should this be added?: This opens up new avenues for players who actively do Intelligence RP and equips agents with more tools to use against opposition. Intelligence RP is very notorious for being a "high risk high reward" thing where whatever the player does can either lead to commendations and promotions or a shot to the head. Audio Recordings, if moderated correctly, allow agents to obtain information that can be used to blackmail, or for court trials. In turn, it puts the agent and anyone else involved at a risk of being pk'd for dirt, or other IC consequences that could follow depending on the situation. This also empowers double agents and actually makes them more useful than ever, forcing intelligence agencies to keep a closer eye on their personnel and ensure that whatever information they're disclosing between eachother wouldn't be intercepted and recorded by a double agent. In short, it makes RP significantly more interesting and creates more conflict. What negatives could this have?: If unregulated and/or used improperly, it would basically turn audio recordings into a form of loophole for metagaming (IE: recording literally everything and presenting them as evidence where it would otherwise be considered against the server rules to do so). Additional Information: Would love to hear the community's opinion about this
  2. Neutral leaning towards -1, I can see this being somewhat useful on the condition that it is locked behind like, 6 hours of playtime. I can also see this being abused in combat. + Hitting people with the baton already freezes them for like a second.
  3. Character's name & rank: James von-Erbach Donaldheim SteamID32: STEAM_0:0:232863657 Staff member who issued the PK (if you know): Aurelius of Phoenix Explain why you were PK'd: I was found guilty in a [kangaroo] court trial and was sentenced to Capital Punishment - Death, the method of death was left to the Prosecution's discretion. Why should you be un-PK'd?: I believe the following PK guideline was broken by the Presiding Richter, as per the Government PK guidelines: Based on this court report, I was convicted on three counts of "Attempted Murder in the Second Degree on a Government Official" and "Subversion of State Security," three of which are Class III Felonies and one of which is a Class II Felony. Even with the applicable modifiers, these charges do not become Class I Felonies, which are required to impose Capital Punishment leading to a full-on PK. The maximum sentence I should have received is 4 Life Sentences. The charges I had racked up shouldn't translate to Capital Punishment. Now, at least to my knowledge, Rule 12. would be dependent on the German Penal Code's categorization of charges and the sentencing guidelines put in place. While it does say that the sentences provided are recommended, it's also made very clear albeit indirectly that the Death Penalty can only be imposed through a Class I Felony, hence why it's also called Capital Punishment (reserved for only the most serious crimes which, as I said, would be a Class I Felony). The situation that lead to the Court Trial wasn't even necessarily applicable to the charges I was convicted (I was shot at by NSB-Polizeikommandeur Heyo Groll and gunned him down as a result of the firefight, with one or two agents getting caught in the crossfire.), with Generalinspektor Soros going to GREAT lengths to suppress me through any means possible. If not an un-PK, I hope for the sentence to be moved down to a "Life Sentence PK" (as I like to call it) instead to properly fit the PK guidelines, and for my 72-hour life sentence appeal timer to start on the hour of the decision being made. Additional Information: I was also originally going to make the PK appeal due to the courts being extremely kangaroo and the judge himself being super incompetent, to where the prosecution kept influencing the judge to revert his motions to their favor, helped the Judge write the court report for the PK to be approved, my evidence not even being logged in the court report (there's even proof of clear favoritism and bias in the court report itself), court procedures just being very messy (even the prosecution admitted it was the "worst trial they ever attended"), and the judge initially submitting an empty court summary when asked to give his court report to staff (I believe rose was the staff member that took the original PK request). I was told, however, that kangaroo court issues were all ic and wouldn't matter for a PK appeal, so I chose to leave information regarding that out of the PK appeal. Nonetheless, I believe that PK's such as these should be conducted by someone competent enough, regardless of whether it's a kangaroo trial or not.
  4. You've been pulling that Lure shit since I had my first character on the server as the Deputy Company Commander for the Panzers. Arguably the most repetitive and annoying shit I've seen. The fact that staff didn't force you to change your name for trying to associate yourself with your other twenty (PK'd) characters is astonishing. You milked your ancestry more than the Walking Dead has been milked. Now go do something new and innovative.
  5. +1 Chill larper that contributes to the RP and is GMT (we need more GMT staff). We need more larpers like this man
  6. -1 It's evident this guy is some kind of neo. Not only does he post a sterilization document referencing an actual nazi law in the document (with the character's last name being Mengele at the time, ironic), but he has made a content pack with models bearing swastikas back in April. For reference: Click here Under normal circumstances, I would close an eye or two and give a neutral rating. However, with the sterilization order document that he had posted less than a month ago, I don't believe LordVague should ever be allowed in the staff team for this reason. No offense to you LordVague, but you're a degenerate. You're lucky you were given a second chance to come back, and you already kinda screwed that up with the document. This is a hard pass for me, I don't think this guy will truly change from the inside. He's a wolf in sheep's skin.
  7. Hello, I am the guy who accidentally PK'd this man. We were executing a communist who requested a PK on themselves multiple times. As we shoot his dead corpse, the bullets somehow graze through his foot and ends up killing him. I seemingly make a "meta" response, using the word "pk" aswell but whatever. ThirdEye then calls me back in the room and asks why I killed Denis Spitz, to which I explain the situation. Ignoring multiple PK guidelines (last resort, "pking for doing one's legal work", etc), ThirdEye determined this to somehow be a valid pk on Denis Spitz and had it approved by an Administrator, Aurelius. Keep in mind that it wasn't even my intention to kill let alone PK this man as it was purely an accidental kill. ALSO keep in mind that the accidental PK was "overseen" by a moderator which would also violate the PK guidelines (administrators would oversee CO pk's as stated in the guidelines). This is MY perspective of the situation, which shows where I was actually aiming compared to the original staff clip: https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/i8nCad0zLSozUO8fB/d1337d9n8wvm?invite=cr-MSxsS0QsMjE2Mzg0OTE1LA I fully support this PK appeal and hope UA recognises the situation for what it was (we can even void the situation altogether and unPK the civ, that's fine. He requested the PK on himself anyway.)
  8. +1 leaning to neutral Cool fella, will change to a full +1 if he doesn't fly some planes into a couple building in Manhattan.
  9. Neutral leaning towards +1 Pretty cool guy, but I don't believe he has enough experience for such a status. Should have more NCO / Officer experience in manpower factions before applying for trusted.
  10. Hello, I'm the person who requested the PK on your character "Hendrik Kürtz". Firstly, I'd like to thank you for making this PK Appeal so I can expose you for lying out of your teeth in an attempt to revert your PK appeal. Firstly, police were chasing you because you decided to evade arrest, where you then rammed a police car. Your vehicle was subsequently boxxed by Landespolizei vehicles. Obviously, evading arrest, then ramming a police car is grounds for lawful detainment. In the clip, we can see that only one tire was actually punctured unlike the MULTIPLE tires you claim were shot by minges; likely due to the fact you were evading arrest at the time. Anyways, so we come out of our vehicles and put you under FearRP and attempted to detain you. This is where the FearRP starts. For some reason, you decided to try and walk your way out of it despite being held at gunpoint by 7 - 8 police officers. You jumped over someone's head and tried to walk away. I could've shot you, but I wanted to RP out your arrest instead. Two members of the KG eventually come to your aid; obviously they were still outnumbered but one of them started pointing his weapon at us. I obviously back away, in fear of my life, and he refused to put his weapon down. So he had to be neutralized, in safety of everyone else. Even after this, nobody shot at you or anything and we immediately aimed our guns back at you to detain you again and bring you to a cell. This is where you decided it would be a great idea to pull your pistol out and start a gunfight. YOU started the gunfight, nobody else did from either the Kaisergarde or the Landespolizei. In the process, you were put down by the Landespolizei - and lost your life. You were severely outnumbered too, so I don't know what went in your mind. You could've just taken the arrest and sit in a cell for 15 minutes before you would be let go - maybe you could've tried to counter sue or maybe you could've exerted some form of "revenge". Instead, you took a high risk low reward chance and lost. It's really pathetic to lie in an appeal that Upper Administration would be grading, but that's just me. I wouldn't go that far for a LARP server. https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/2e6M1ib3RP7JXW/d13371B4qOkq?invite=cr-MSw2YlEsMjE2Mzg0OTE1LA
  11. I'm the Presiding Judge that took your case. 1. I asked you if you wanted an attorney, you said yes and I made an advertisement calling for qualified attorneys. A minister with a BAR ID came but then decided against representing you, so we proceeded with the trial. You had ample time to request your CO's in too. 2. You plead guilty to all charges. I asked you your plea on each individual charge. When you decided to plead guilty on all charges, I then asked you if you therefore waiver your right to a proper trial, to which you did. Because of that, I went straight into recess and sentenced you according to the guidelines. 3. Wolfrid Wolfgang is a registered attorney with a dual commission, just like how I have a judge commission myself. You had ample opportunity to fight your case in court and get your fair share of representation and instead chose to toss it all aside. Even told you you can appeal your life sentence and get it repealed after all of that. While I can't speak for what happened prior to the trial (as I didn't bear witness to that), I can say that the court order pk was brought purely upon yourself by your own actions when you quite literally plead guilty to all charges and then waivered your right to trial.
  12. +1 though he has lackluster grammar, he makes up for it in how he talks ingame and how he conducts himself.
