  1. Not to mention, an overhaul of the civ system would make more people buy the phys/toolgun because it is heavily needed in CivRP
  2. In my experience it actually fixes a lot of minge problems. People who are currently running around fist fighting random orpo could get something else to do, as I played on Werwolf, I had a business with 20-30 employees and we hired new people constantly who would have otherwise probably been banned.
  3. Solution: Make business licenses way cheaper than they are (currently 15.000rm with weekly fees to not lose it), and let us be able to buy doors with f2 for cheap. Most people don't do CivRP to make money, which is why a model of being forced to make money to pay for the business license fees is not going to work out in the long run.
  4. +1 I've covered some of this in the suggestion I posted today. It is WAY easier to become a soldier than to do any meaningful rp as a Civilian. Business RP is limited, as it costs 15.000rm for the business license and WEEKLY payments to not lose it. Can somebody please tell me how the small interesting businesses are supposed to be able to even start, when the startup capital needed is 15k? Also, on top of this, its near impossible to even get a room for your business as ALL of the doors on the map are owned by different state organizations, like look at this: https://imgur.com/a/shXWjwg Why does the Luftwaffe own the doors to a restaurant in the middle of the city when they are not even using the place... I ran around today because I wanted to start a restaurant only leaving as I realized that its impossible. License costs 15k with weekly fees and the building will cost money too. To answer Whoreson, a fix for this would be to enable f2 buying of doors to all the buildings that are not necessary for the different regiments. Let us be able to run the hotel, let us run restaurants, remove the permaprop decor of some of the stores and let us do it ourselves. Here are some more buildings that are never ever used, and are apparently owned by different battalions... The Hotel of the city: https://imgur.com/a/6f3p2Ad - Basically all the warehouses in the industrial complex: https://imgur.com/a/u3hAuAw Most civilians want to start RP immediately when joining the server, not many want to go through the bureaucracy of obtaining four different licenses to even be able to start testing a business idea, simplify the buying of property and the starting of businesses and you will see CivRP flourish like never before (oh, and let us buy apartments so we can chill and shit) @Major Whoreson
  5. Idea Description: I really enjoy civilian and business roleplay, but the current system on this server has significant limitations. Right now, the entry barrier is extremely high: it’s nearly impossible to acquire an apartment or business property because all of them are owned by military companies or state organizations. New players face endless inquiries and delays just to find the right contact who can grant access to a property, leading many to give up and leave the server. The current approach requires players to /ad in chat and wait excessively for a state official with the right permissions to guide them through the application process. These people have in my experience never been online, or have ignored my requests as I have at no point gotten further in the application process. This bureaucracy kills business roleplay, creating frustration rather than fun. A solution could be to make more buildings buyable properties, reducing state ownership and simplifying the acquisition process, even going as far as letting players buy doors with F2. My own experience was very bad—I spent hours seeking someone who could sell me a property for my construction business, but I couldn’t reach the right person. Eventually, despite having donated to the server, I left due to these challenges and other stuff in my life, but I thought I might give a suggestion a go. Why This Should Be Added: Reducing bureaucratic barriers would make the server more accessible, allowing new and experienced players alike to establish their businesses and homes with ease. By offering buyable properties, we can improve player satisfaction with the players who enjoy Civilian RP, increase retention with these players, and finally breathe life into the city. Currently, the server leans heavily towards Military RP on a largely empty Berlin map, which limits immersion and detracts from the city’s realism. Additional Information: Have a nice day!
  6. Description of the idea: Promoting a business on the server currently poses significant challenges, as it typically requires repetitive posting in /ad in general chat, which can feel like spamming. A more structured solution, which I’ve seen implemented successfully on other servers, would be to create a dedicated Discord channel for business advertisements. This channel could serve as a space for players to showcase their businesses with images, descriptions of services, and other promotional content. Currently, the only practical way to present one’s business is by individually approaching people and attempting to share external links, such as links to a Google Drive flyer, which isn’t very effective or engaging. By establishing a business-focused channel, especially for businesses that need to be promoted in pictures, something like a construction business, we could foster more vibrant and authentic business roleplay. To maintain an immersive experience, the channel could be framed as an in-game newspaper where businesses advertise their services, much like newspaper ads which imo wouldn't break rp. Why should this be added?: Adding a dedicated business advertisement channel would provide a structured space for players to promote their businesses, making business roleplay more engaging and accessible. It would allow players to showcase their services, share images, and provide descriptions without spamming general chat or making people open external links. This, in turn, could encourage more people to participate in business roleplay which the server needs to feel less empty and to attract players who don't necessarily enjoy the military rp aspect. What negatives could this have?: One potential downside is that the channel might become overly crowded if too many businesses advertise simultaneously, potentially overwhelming players and making it difficult for individual advertisements to stand out. There’s also a risk of advertisements becoming repetitive, which could reduce engagement if not managed well. Clear guidelines and moderation would be essential to maintain quality and ensure the channel adds value without detracting from the server’s overall atmosphere, but this could be achieved by whitelisting business owners and blacklisting everybody else from posting.
