Have been a Moderator on Diverge Mafia Roleplay, an Elite Administrator on Icefuse MRP, and a Head Admin on an Imperial RP called Valyrian Networks. 

Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]:

I believe I would be a good fit for the staff team for several reasons. First, I have a decent amount of staff experience across different servers, and I believe the experience I have gained there would help me become a stronger staff member here. I am also a dedicated member of both the community and the server, and I genuinely want to help improve the experience for everyone.

I have learned from the mistakes I have made in the past. Since then, I have taken the time to reread the rules and make sure I understand them fully, while also clarifying anything I am unsure about. I am willing to put in the work and perform my responsibilities to the best of my ability. The hours I am normally online also coincide with times when I feel the server could benefit from more active staff. I am willing to step up, take responsibility, and be part of the change I want to see within the community. I also believe I am mature enough to handle the responsibilities that come with being a staff member.

Through my previous staff experiences, I have learned discipline, patience, and composure. I believe these qualities would transfer well to this staff team, especially when dealing with heated situations. I would make sure to handle tickets and situations fairly and professionally. My goal would be to understand both sides of a situation, make a fair decision based on the rules, and resolve the issue as quickly and efficiently as possible so everyone involved can move on.

I am also dedicated to helping other members improve and grow within the community. I am a hard worker, very active online, and responsible with the tasks I am given. I tend to take initiative rather than sitting back and waiting for someone else to handle a ticket or situation. If I see something that needs to be handled, I am willing to step up and take care of it. I am also a very social and approachable person, so I don't think I would have an issue communicating with or helping other members. While I am online, I am willing to dedicate a large portion of my time to staff duties and helping new players learn the ropes.

 

 

What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]:

The duties and responsibilities of a Moderator go beyond simply disciplining members who break the server rules. A Moderator should also be someone newer players can turn to for help and guidance when they are unfamiliar with the server or its rules.

Moderators are also responsible for handling OOC situations such as RDM, MRDM, NITRP, and other rule violations. It can sometimes be difficult to determine when staff intervention is necessary and when a situation should be left alone so that the roleplay can continue naturally. A good Moderator needs to be able to make that judgment while keeping the best interest of the server and its roleplay in mind.

Another important responsibility is maintaining the overall quality and standards of the server. Staff should ensure that players are actually roleplaying and not turning Prometheus into a DarkRP-style server. The goal is to preserve the roleplay environment and standards that the server has always been known for. Staff should also make sure players are here to participate in roleplay rather than simply minge or disrupt others, and when necessary, take appropriate action against those who repeatedly do so.

Lastly, staff members should help protect the community from players who repeatedly harass or target others without any legitimate roleplay intent. Moderators should be willing to step in when necessary, investigate the situation fairly, and take appropriate action to prevent that behavior from negatively affecting other members of the community.
