Zonnenblume (Frirdrich Steiner) here, I can confirm this gentleman was indeed taking part in the RP and very good at that. He has always been a super friendly man, and seems he has made an unfortunate mistake. I can vouch that he has always been cordial and due to him having taken a really long break, as well as him being new, that I believe this was an honest mistake. It is clear that he will have to be taught on the entry policy as well as going about other ways to deal with trespassers, but those are efforts I am willing to go through with him as he hopefully joins us in the Luftwaffe.

What happened was as follows: I was a Tanker stationed outside the Military Base (where the barriers restricting vehicular traffic was). My orders were to do guard duty and deny trespassers entry into the restricted area (any area past the vehicle barrier, in front of the main gate). As you may know, we do get a lot of people who minge and break NLR, returning constantly to trespass at the base's vehicle barriers. I was armed but had my rifle holstered on my back. Two Policemen came and trespassed into the base, failing to provide a reason for going past the vehicle barriers. I warned them that they were trespassing. At one point I tried to restrain one of the two, they then went off. They then returned and so I warned them again and punched them since that was less lethal than shooting and since they were moving too much to be restrained. On my second or third punch, I was 'frozen' by an admin, and immediately banned. It genuinely is my honest belief that this was interpreted as attempted RDM, but I was not aiming to RDM anyone. I was intending to deter them from continuing their trespass. This was why I did not shoot. In doing so, at all times I had an honest intention to roleplay. As for my previous offences (I think this is what POs mean), these were from over a year ago, as I had not logged in in over a year until yesterday. I caught up with two good friends from the Luftwaffe / Air Force and was having a good time. I bring this up because it may also show you that I all the more have no incentive to break the rules. Why do you deserve to be unbanned?: After thinking this through, I want to say: I am deeply sorry. I trust your admin's judgement and this appeal is not at all meant to chellenge it. I accept that I should have handled the situation better by perhaps refreshing myself with the rules first, or seeking help from other members of my unit. The trouble was that few were online at the time, and so this slipped my mind. I also hadn't played in more than a year, possibly two. For this reason, I ask for forgiveness for not being as aquainted with the rules as I should have been. On this point, in the heat of the moment, I panicked and (mistakenly) thought it was the rigfht course of action to do the closest thing to shoving someone out of the base, which was punching (to my mind) since I could not restrain them since they kept moving and since shooting would've been excessive. I hope this shows I had an intention to RP genuinely. I am also sorry for over reacting as we do sometimes get a lot of repeat trespassers at that checkpoint (the vehicle barriers). I did not shoot them despite having a rifle, and I hope this shows I had no intention at all to RDM. I genuinely enjoyed gameplay up to that moment last night, and having 2 good friends on the server (one in the Luftwaffe who share the base with us) means I genuinely have no incentive to disobey the rules and risk bans that prevent me from having a good time with friends I have known for years. My previous mistakes / offences were from years ago, and I have no recent history of rule breaking. To further show I had a genuine intention to RP, hours before this punching incident resulting in my ban, I spoke to the head of the Luftwaffe, Zonnenblume (discord name), Frirdrich Steiner (in-game name) at length, about transferring to the Luftwaffe, I also participated in a war game in base. Additional Information: For full context, before the punching incident resulting in my ban, one of the two Policemen / Orpo / Poleizei personnel was previously killed by me during a raid on the Police headquarters to free one of our men who was illegally detained. This was part of quite a large raid involving over 5 guys on our side and the Police on the opposing side, who, based on what I heard on the radio in the moments leading up to the raid, were holding one of our men and refusing to free him. It was an enjoyable roleplay moment, but one of the 2 policemen killed did not like that they were killed / took it personally and so came over to the military base with his friend to talk to me about it. They left then came back, trespassing again. I did tell them they were probably breaking NLR, but I focused what I was saying to them on the trespassing issue since they had no authority to trespass. Hello, I was the staff that banned you. You sat on a rooftop and shot multiple people in the head for no good roleplay reason. Also, resistance roleplay is generally not allowed by the server staff UNLESS you get UA+ approval, in which you didn't. Shooting people without cause on the street is not good roleplay.

After looking through the situation a bit more thorough, I do unerstand I had the wrong situation in mind for your ban. The situation is that as a group of Military (around 10-15) are walking back from the Reichstag, a random civilian proceeds to run up, and shoot the Kriegsmarschall and kill him. Despite the difference in situation, it is again still clearly outlined in the rules that you cannot just plan an assasination at your own discretion. You must have reason, a plan, and approval from Upper Administration to proceed with any type of actions as such stated. Without the previously stated guidlines, it is a huge breach of Global Rules 4.2, 4.5, 9.1, and 9.11. Again, I will leave it up to the discretion of Upper Administration pertaining to your appeal.

After a few hours of playing as a Gefreiter performing tasks, I figured that branching out my playstyle was a good idea and thus decided to roleplay as a new character which was supposed to be a member of a Communist resistance group, targetting uniformed players to cause havoc. Hi I am Soap, the staff member who issued your ban. The staff team appreciates your ban apology, however I believe it is a completely valid ban. It is extremely highlighted in the PK rules and killing rules that you cannot just break into a compound, then an office and proceed to shoot one of the highest ranking individuals in RP. What you did by doing so was a blatant RDM. As I checked your notes in game I saw you have a previous seven bans on record,six of them being RDM related. I will be leaving it up to the Upper Administration for the decision to unban you, but I do not believe an unban is appropriate.

After re-reading your suggestion. - 1. The whole point is people can break fear-rp and risk being pk'd. Pointing a gun at someone and having them automatically be "surrendered" is borderline powergaming as a mechanic and terrible for roleplay.

If you read more deeply you're gonna see that it is infact completely different from what I see we have right now, is not you surrendering yourself is someone forcefully surrendering you, also I basically never see anyone use the current surrender on f7 anyways I think some people don't even know it exists, because it is an optional mechanic, and let's be real it's a game most people prefer just dying and having to buy new guns or whatever than actually having to deal with real consequences to their actions(what I imagine is the objective of a SeriousRP, replicating real life, and people there don't just go dying all the time cuz they have only one life)
