My primary motivation for joining the staff team is to help improve the community by taking tickets, fixing issues, and ensuring the players get the best roleplaying experience without hiccups. I have staffing experience from Gmod, and I believe that my previous experience, attitude, and work ethic would blend well with the current staff needs. I am familiar with the rules and have an excellent grasp on what they entail, and I'm willing to enforce them when required. I don't believe staffing is relegated to doling out punishments; it's also about helping players understand why what they did was wrong and how they can avoid doing it again. If a player is new or genuinely confused, I'd much rather educate and inform than jump down their throats immediately. Giving them that chance to roleplay and understand is much better for the server than arbitrarily banning them the moment they join and screw something up. I'm also very forgiving and attempt to put everything in context before making a decision. If a warning is better than a ban, but the rulebook allows it, I will always give the benefit of the doubt as long as it follows guidelines. For me, this is how I operate myself; I've had no bans or infractions within a few weeks since I've joined. This shows that I follow rules and attempt to be a good example. In short, I firmly believe that becoming part of your staff team would help facilitate good relations between the community and the current staff. I'd be a welcome addition, and I'm willing to put in my best effort at all times to help keep this server respectful and fun for everyone involved. In my own words, the staff member's job is to ensure players are adhering to the rules for everyone to experience properly functioning roleplay. While rule enforcement is necessary, not every situation calls for heavy-handed punishment. If a player is simply confused or made a mistake, the role of the staff member is to guide them, tell them what they did wrong, and essentially teach them how the server works. What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]: As a representative of the community, it's important for a staff member to maintain a sense of respectfulness and professionalism. In dealing with tickets, answering questions, and resolving player inquiries, patience, communication, and calmed demeanor are essential. An approachability and understanding nature keeps the server a welcoming place. It is necessary to have a basis of understanding with the community members, and other team members. This allows for the fluidity of the server to be maintained. If I were a staff member, I would enforce rules where applicable but also stress educational components by providing clarity where applicable for those who simply don't understand. A good portion of the role is to help new players understand the structure of the server and promote their engagement in roleplay before they become discouraged and punished. This is necessary for player retention and better roleplay quality. The best way to create better roleplay is to cultivate new role-players into becoming great players.

What will you bring to MITHC? What kind of roleplay do you guys plan on doing/what factions do you plan on maining? It seems like it will be a huge drift from what we are used to so I'm interested in how people will make it their own.

The ban was pretty straight forward, and after viewing a clip of the situation provided to me by @Vixxit was very clear that you were mic-spamming on our server which violates General Rule #8. We also do not condone the use of racial or other offensive slurs per Global Rule #1 which were pertinent in the songs you were mic-spamming. Being in violation of these rules, Vixx was within his authority to punish you which in this case was a 1 week ban (corrected from an original 2 week ban). To start this off, personally I plan on being big in the PD. I think it would be interesting, having two factions mainly clashing over control of your force, while you are still exercising authority over civilians. I might also explore corruption/abuse of authority roleplay. It seems on topic for this timeline.

Hi there, thank you for using the Forums to create an Appeal. Firstly, my apologies - your ban is not 2 Weeks, however, it was extended to 1 Week due to how you spoke to me and utilized /OOC whilst I was writing your Ban Details. Please also amend your 'Why were you Banned' section to include the full reason which is - GR 1 | 4.8 | NITRP At no point did we argue, I simply stated the rules you had broke and how to avoid this in the future. I was not at all angry, myself and an Administrator had Gagged you for 10 Minutes due to you breaking Rule 4.8 - Voice Spam -. Whilst the Gag was being administered, you thought it would be a good idea to play a song which included lyrics such as 'Heil Hitler'. I pulled you into a sit room and explained that doing so was a breach of GR 1, as well as 4.8 due to voice spam. you should have known these actions were not allowed and a clear cause of discomfort to other players. You remained in the Sit Room for approx. 3 minutes whilst I wrote your Ban Reasoning, during which time you used /OOC to call me a 'fag'. Hence the extension from what was going to be a 2D ban to a 1W ban. In regards to you supposedly witnessing a member of our staff team do similar, it does not allow you to break the rules. If this scenario occurred, you are encouraged to make a Staff Report here on the Forums. UA will make a final decision on this Appeal, however, I suggest you put some more effort into it if you want to have any chance of it being considered.

Incorrect, I informed you that you were wrong and gave you the definition of GR1 and how it applied in your situation, as well as the other rules which had been broken. As I said, the song was played whilst the gag was about to be administered, not afterwards. I gave you all relevant information in the sit and did not add 'NITRP' after you wrote in /OOC. you literally said I was being banned for 2 days for GB 1 because the song broke GB1, I didn't say I played the song afterwards, I said I was just playing it then you gagged me which I didn't see and I didn't know what was going on, and you never mentioned NITRP until after I was banned which you literally did it for 2 weeks until I made this appeal which is shitty, you didn't inform me of any other rules. and after I wrote in OOC you muted me perm immediately after which is interesting too

I wrote that in my first reply, and UA can see from the logs that the ban time was changed immediately. You cannot simply assume it is 'until I made this appeal'. An error occurred that set it to 2 Weeks instead of 1. I shall not be replying further as you are clearly trying to make this more about what happened in the sit room and not about why you believe you should be unbanned. We literally argued in the sit room about GB1 and you didn't say how to avoid this you just said I was being banned for GB1 and told me to appeal at the fourms. Also no I didn't play a song after being gagged, the whole thing was me just playing ye and you got mad and tried to gag and mute me, I didn't know what was going on, all I did was play a song. During the staff sit all you did was just say I broke gb1 and I was being banned for 2 days, nobody had a problem with me playing it other than you and idk how you can be triggered by a ye song and if you are you need to take a long look in the mirror. Then you got mad I insulted you and extended my ban with NITRP which doesn't even make sense.
