Description of the idea: 

        Short Description of the Idea of integrating a Stock Market

  A fully functional stock market with options on buying selling, that changes the values at random, or maybe you could even register if you have a Business ID your own company and pay a fee your company to go public and have it on the stock market. The stock market as a entity could managed by the state or some other government agency. It could open and close like IRL at certain times, you could try to put in events that admins can control to create a huge total stock crash plunging the market into the ground and giving something to the governments finance offices to heavy worry about.

Why should this be added?: 

1.   Creates opportunity's for players to open Stock Firms,  You could have a chance at people becoming stock brokers wolf of wallstreet style become rich of stock then going to start their own business.
2.   Gives good roleplay to people who are in the business sector allowing them to act like stuck up stock brokers if they make it big and own their own firm
3.   Gives the opportunity for people to invest in businesses like giving out money since the company's stock is good, or it could act as a alternative form of currency payment.
4.   Give jobs to the government for employing people to manage it, and also more stuff for finance offices to do if the stock crashes.
5.   The style of a stock market helps a lot to the vibe of being in NYC a place famous for the stock exchange.
6.   Government agency's could also invested and it could be a small sources of revenue flow for them maybe they could even hire a external consultant to manage their stocks.
7.   Maybe those who are top executives or accountants could do fraud and it would give something for BFI to investigate and the local police to act on.

What negatives could this have?: 

1.   Problem that's the biggest is most likely that its quite complicated to program.
2.   Could not be fun if the stocks are slow and take a bit to build or lose money.
3.   If improperly managed during a crisis event likes its crash it could tank several business although this on its own is not directly a negative thing.

I love this Suggestion, exactly what we are looking for... Something new, exciting and totally different from what we have done before. I believe this could give a new aspect of RP to the Civilian and KAG Equivalent Factions when considering possible Businesses & Licensing within MITHC, possibly some sort of development of 'Corporations' which we currently have in Imperial Germany.

It existed, I ran it. It stopped working because it's nearly impossible to run, and good luck finding someone who wants to roleplay as a stock broker for more than a day (nobody wants to buy imaginary stocks).
 

Believe me, I really wanted it to work, but it just; didn't. Plus, Virus shut it down without even telling us about it so... yeah.

What I'm saying is we actually developed a system like that has huds and internal works not just a system dependent on RP like that of a addon, something that would be built in as entire in the game, and on top of that would be rp and mangers that have access to only a bit of that internal system. So I think this is a miss communication.

Jokes aside I think this can provide some use in RP terms to the Ministry of Finance, so it isn't just the minister doing everything by himself.

Göttingen Corp took all the money I invested through their bank and stock market. Until the Ministry of Finance signs something that guarantees our assets, this is a -1 from me.

This seems like something that would be too big to operate. A stock market implies that there would have to be multiple companies that exist simultaneously and are ready to compete. Sure, the stock market itself would influence people to begin making their own companies, but the server seems incapable of holding live businesses for more than a couple weeks (there are outliers to this).

A base set of generic companies would be made that would not actually be ran by anyone and just act as the main future, the fact that companies that do register in game and are ran by players could get onto the stock market is a addon to the list of generic companies that would already be on their so their would be no worry that you need all these companies to even get the market off the ground. On the point of servers holding no longer then a few weeks on the server, that's kind of a player issue and command issue that's mainly up to those in KAG and the state and other factions to fix and the addition of a stock market like previously said would only boost peoples wants for starting companies since they could make wayy more money then before. Even in that of a dry spout were there are no companies the market would drop quite a bit but the other default companies would still be their to invest in and make sure the stock market mechanic does not just fall apart due to their being nothing to invest in, it also give the Finance office something to directly judge the markets off of maybe if they see stocks drop and people losing money due to companies dying then could then in turn act on that, giving out grants or other programs/fiscal helps to companies.
