If so, what were they for and what could you have done to prevent getting them next time? When I first joined I got into a situation where I was arrested and publicly talked about it. That led to me getting shot and pulled into a sit. I panicked and tried to lie at first, which made it worse. Once I just told the truth, I only ended up with a demotion and a 2-week ban instead of a PK. Lesson learned, just be honest from the start, even if you’re nervous. I was a previous administrator on Prometheus Networks before I resigned. I’ve also staffed on an HL2 RP server and a sandbox server in the past. Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team? [300 words or more]: I’ve been playing on the server pretty consistently and I actually enjoy being on it. Whether I’m just doing normal RP or sitting around talking with people I usually have a good time on here. One thing I’ve noticed though is that staff aren’t always around when people need them. Tickets can sit for a while and sometimes sits take longer than they should just because there aren’t enough people online to handle them. I’d like to help with that. I’m on the server a lot so availability isn’t really an issue for me. I already know how most things work here since I used to be an admin on Prometheus Networks before I resigned. Because of that I’m familiar with how tickets and sits are supposed to be handled. I’ve also been on the other side of sits before so I understand what it’s like from a player’s point of view. The main things are pretty simple. Listen to both sides, look at whatever evidence is there and try to make a fair call without taking sides. I’m not going to sit here and say I’m the best person who could ever apply or that I’ll never mess up. Everyone makes mistakes. What I can say is that I’m willing to put the time in and actually do the job instead of just wanting the rank. I’m active, I have a mic and I’m ready to deal with the actual work that comes with being staff. I’ve seen what happens when staff are inconsistent or when they stop caring. It spreads fast. Players start losing trust and tickets get ignored. I don’t want to be part of that. I’d rather be someone who shows up, handles what needs to be handled and tries to keep things fair. I’m not expecting the job to be easy all the time either. Some sits are messy, some people are difficult and some situations don’t have a perfect answer. That’s fine. I’m willing to deal with that as long as I’m actually helping the server instead of just sitting on the rank. I also think it helps that I already know a lot of the players and how the server generally runs. I’m not coming in completely blind. I understand the community a bit and I know what kind of issues tend to come up. That doesn’t mean I know everything but it does mean I’m not starting from zero. I’m ready to put the time in, stay active and do the work that needs to be done. What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]: Staff are expected to handle tickets and sits when they come up and deal with people who are breaking the rules. That means staying calm, listening to everyone involved and making decisions based on what’s actually happening instead of jumping to conclusions or playing favorites. You’re also expected to be more active than a normal player and set a decent example even when you’re not on duty. People notice how staff act and it affects how they see the server overall. At the end of the day the job is pretty straightforward. Help keep things running smoothly, deal with problems when they show up and try not to make situations worse than they already are. You have to be willing to sit people even when it’s inconvenient and you have to be consistent about it. Ignoring tickets or letting things slide just because you don’t feel like dealing with them is how servers start going downhill. Staff should also be able to explain their decisions when needed and not just hand out punishments without any thought behind them. Another part of the job is just being present. A lot of smaller issues can be handled quickly if someone is actually online and paying attention. Waiting hours for a staff member to show up makes everything harder for everyone involved. Being reliable matters more than sounding impressive in an application. You’re there to help keep the server playable and fair for the people who actually care about it.

After reviewing the situation it has been decided that your PK will be overturned. Part of roleplaying isn't just the guidelines but the situation as a whole. The clip provided was a total of 13 seconds of which only 3 seconds were you being told to run away and stop moving at the same time then being shot less than 2 seconds later without any attempts to detain you and to top it all off with a "PK HIM" at the end. Hello, I am the admin who approved your PK. After taking a deeper look into the PK and reviewing all of the clips again, I realized that I made a mistake when approving it. You were being PK'd for FearRP by a Landespolizei member in front of the ICC side gate. However, after reviewing the footage more carefully, I noticed that the officer never clearly pointed a weapon at you from your perspective. He only raised his weapon once your back was turned. While he did tell you to stop moving around three times, the commands were given very quickly before you were killed, making it unreasonable to expect you to react in time. Additionally, at the end of the clip, another player can be heard saying, "PK," which is not allowed, as players should never announce that they PKed someone. I also believe this PK did not meet our PK standards. PKs should only be used as a last resort, especially when the player is an CO character. They should never be issued solely for the purpose of removing someone from their job or title. Because of these issues, the PK should not have been approved. I apologize for my mistake and for any inconvenience this caused.

When we both told him no, he kept baiting me to shoot him when I told him that if he didn't stop following me and the minister that I would shoot him. When I eventually went up the stairs to the second floor, he was still following me after he told me that he was going to use the bathroom in the Reichstag. After that I told him that he had one more chance before I shot him and he still did not listen. I then shot at him a couple of times to get him to go away and then he shot me dead on the spot. A crowd suddenly was going out of the base so i stopped in front of it. After about 15 seconds of standing still i attempted to drive thru the gate but someone got hit in the process. Then suddenly out of nowhere a phys gun grabbed my car into the air, the car then dissapeared, i was taken into the air and immediately banned for 2 months over a traffic accident without the chance to explain the situation. Thank you for taking the time to create a PK Appeal. After review of your clip, on multiple occasions it can been seen that your gun was not on safety. You should have fixed your weapon, not continue to walk right up to somebody dragging a detained member of the military and pointing an MP-40 at point-blank range. Furthermore, the user's outfit and description is irrelevant. You do not know somebody is important because of a description, or because what they wear.
