-1 I think you are forgetting about the MOJ and WC, so there are more choices than the Sicherheits-Polizeigericht. And civilians overseeing trials... that can be self-explained on why it is not a good idea.

-1 The wait time for richters isn’t that bad. Having a civilian have oversight/authority over government employees isn’t right, especially since they are still civilians and thus prone to outside influence. No faction would accept another faction having policing authority over them, let alone civilians. Government courts are an option as well, if the charges are applicable to civil/criminal law and not just faction specific law.

I understand your interpretation of the incident, and I have already weighed my decisions on the scale of right and wrong. I've learned from the mistakes I've made throughout the entire situation, and this infraction definitely won't be made again. I again profusely apologize, and I want to convey my wish to get back into the roleplay sooner rather than later.

While I appreciate your apology, you need to understand that actions have consequences. You initiated a large-scale gunfight without any legitimate reason, and situations like that carry serious consequences under our rules. In fact, another player was banned at the very same checkpoint less than 15 minutes before you for doing the exact same thing. Specifically, as I was overwatching the situation, the Landespolizei officer was in the process of switching from the camera back to his weapon. That does not constitute a threat that justifies initiating a gunfight. Simply seeing another player transition from one piece of equipment to another is not grounds to open fire. Most people are aware that equipping or switching to a weapon results in it being pointed, thats just how the game works and most of the time people will safety withing a few seconds. Trying to justify starting a gunfight over a standard gameplay mechanic is silly. At some point, players have to recognize that choosing to start a gunfight without justification is a decision, and the consequences that follow are a direct result of that decision. I hope you take this as a learning opportunity and make better decisions in similar situations going forward.

Okay all jokes aside lol, the real reason I decided to write this application is because sometimes I like to help people, but it’s more about helping people in roleplay and continue to have that energetic, entertaining fun of conflicts, chaos, civil wars, all that shit. And I did have a thought of writing this application when I passed 1 week, but I was skeptical to even begin since I had to think it really hard, even after one of my friends suggested I make one, I never thought I could really fit in as a Staff Member, or hell a member of anything. And no, put aside the Mental Health struggles, and my behavioural issues, and my lack of dependence. It’s rather just how I have to put myself out there to at least try. Besides I believe in my heart that if you do ask for help and not let it get the bad stuff overburden you, it's bound to get way better, even if it all goes to shit. As my mom and dad always taught me, it’s not about being the best, or just attempting it, it’s about trying to do at least the bare minimum. And if I can’t then I can’t trust myself to continue doing it. I've always seen the most funniest things in life, especially in this community after playing for approx. 5 months. And one of them is having the most loving community I've seen in like years, like it's actually made me smile and made me feel more myself than ever. Even when shit hits the fan, I'm always there to help, even during peak hours, given it's been a large issue with so many people asking for tickets during peak hours. Which I must say, that's somehow been an even more pressing concern than just everything else that's been happening. [150 Words or more]: Likely Moderator to start small, but I'm also not sure what else to add here, but what I would say is that many Staff Members on Prometheus likely have High RP Jobs(like NHC) that are unfortunately too busy dealing with...well RP rather than taking tickets And I'm sure many applicants have written before that they likely don't have important RP stuff, and there are people out there who do a good job at taking tickets during peak hours, even non-peak hours if they're bored. My name is Yegorkin, and earlier this afternoon I was on my Feldjäger Gefreiter character and was en route to a situation between the MOI and the military, followed by multiple military members heading towards a checkpoint set up on a bridge down the street from the MOI. I was immediately thrown into an environment of high tension, in which multiple members of both factions were attempting to shout at each other with the end goal of getting a singular point across. As soon as I arrived, I was met with a wall of confusion, and I didn't pay much attention to the left side of the bridge checkpoint, since there were much larger groups of people with guns on safety that I should pay attention to. Whilst in first person I was surveying the situation on the right side of the bridge when all of a sudden, I heard a click. This click was the sound of a gun switching its firing mode, and that immediately caused a startle in me, and I turned towards the general direction of said clicking noise. Turns out that noise came from the gun belonging to a member of the MOI, a Landespolizei member. I was met with a Thompson drawn on the member of the military to the left of me. Doing what most people would do, I panicked and clicked once to un-safety my weapon; in doing so, I hoped that would discourage the Landespolizei member from firing at us. As soon as I went through with said action, we were met with even more outrage from the MOI. This undoubtedly caused me to get pushed over the edge of control, and I let my trigger finger press down on the left mouse button. One Landespolizei member was shot dead when I opened my eyes after a blink. I had initiated something that had affected the roleplay of others. I was left dead alongside my fellow Prometheus members and therefore had caused a disturbance that was unacceptable. I wish to display my apology for all to see on this forum to prove that I am sincere and in no way wanted to cause such a scene and waste MomsMom's time. He was understandably upset and called me a retard for good reason, and I am willing to accept that, for I have done something severely idiotic. I, however, find it hard to accept that I will most likely only be allowed back onto the server once the MITHC update rolls out, and I wish to spend as much time on my characters that are bound to die soon in an attempt to prove myself to others while I still have the chance. Additional Information: Not even 10-20 minutes before this event in which I had disrupted, there was massive unrest within the military and in which multiple regiments were all fighting for power in the bb, causing the mass detainment of the Naval garrison, the demotion, and arrest of an officer, etc. These prior encounters with me further enhanced the stress levels I was feeling and caused my rash decisions.

I guess upon anyone’s first glance, you’d think it was just a neo-N*zi wonderland full of degenerate critters (there definitely are some degenerate critters), BUT! when I got into it within the MOI and first saw the (at the time dubbed) “Prätor,” I was in genuine shock at how well-developed and authentic the role play was and still is. The amount of effort that went into building the setting, the organizations, and the interactions between players made everything feel far more immersive than I had expected. It wasn’t just people standing around talking; it actually felt like a living world where actions had consequences and where everyone had an opportunity to contribute something meaningful to the overall experience. To the point that I got pseudo-addicted to playing, I eventually had to take a bit of a break so I could tie up some loose ends with getting my career on track, which I’m happy to say I’ve now completed. Even while I was away, I still found myself thinking about the server, the people I had met, and the stories that were unfolding. That says a lot about the quality of the community and the environment that’s been created here. Now that I’ve returned, I’m looking to help out wherever I can and hopefully make the roleplay experience even better for newcomers looking for a solid social-political roleplay experience. I was a senior mod here on prom before I was demoted for Abuse of Power which is true. I decided to use my staff abilities irresponsibly and I was young and stupid. I regret it severely, but I've improved over the last year and a half and something like that won't ever happen again. I was also a Super Admin on a DarkRP called Digital Delta Gaming and pretty much ran most day to day stuff including managing staff and overseeing forums as well. I truly am remorseful and really would like to become a member of the community once more. Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]: I Believe I'd be a great addition to the staff team because my experience I've built over the years I was a Super Administrator on a very active server with a player base that was pretty similar to DarkRP so there were always plenty of minges and tickets to deal with During my time there I handled almost 4000 sits which was the most any staff member had ever completed on DDG Because of that I'm very comfortable dealing with all kinds of situations and players and I know how to stay calm fair and professional when handling staff sits I also have over 2800 hours on Garry's Mod which shows that I'm here for the long haul and genuinely enjoy playing the game. I mean totally fair, I agree. I raise my gun, he raises his, and I would've been the one gunned down, and they could be the one banned. Maybe bad judgement call then. He gun-bashes me, we raise our guns, in my mind I'm like dang this guy is about to gun me down because he thinks I want to gun him down. In my mind, fear in-game has always been about do I think this guy is going to kill me, and in that moment I thought he was gonna kill me. I didn't go gunning in the streets, I put down the individual threat and then retreated inside because I value my characters life. To say I don't want to RP isn't totally fair. I mean I've been playing seriously in the KG all week. Guarded the trial today. I'm not a fresh Grenadier with a Kar98 and a bloodlust. Again, no POs, have been a rule follower. Maybe bad judgement call on this one, so I accept that. Just wanted to come onto the forums and give my piece as I wasn't afforded that opportunity in game. If UA thinks a week is fair, that's is okay by me, I apologize. Just wanted to explain my side and rationale behind it. Personally though, I think a week is excessive. I wouldn't be making the appeal if I didn't genuinely think I was in the right during that situation. The ban came as a surprise to me.

Just because someone bashed you doesn't mean the situation calls for a gun fight. Taking the UA Reminder as completely black and white, or many of the rules as black and white, is being intentionally obtuse. Bashing =/= shooting someone. Nor does it equal lethal force. Punching someone can also be considered the intiation of a fight, but if two generals getting upset in a meeting and start trading blows and one of their guards just gun them down, that guard is getting absolutely decimated in a ban. Context is widly important. As I have said ad nauseam, contextualize! I am told there were 15~ odd people in the situation you were in, and everyone has told me nothing in the situation required a gun fight to occur. Starting random gun fights because you don't want to RP (arrest, yelling, reports, etc.) really isn't our problem.
