Hi nugget, thank you for creating a PK Appeal. You were PKed because you initiated a gunfight with another player. I've been given 2 clips for this PK, one that shows the initial moments leading up to the gunfight and the other of the gunfight. In the first clip, both players were well outside the voice range so they could not hear your commands to halt. The first interaction they received was your initial gunfire with no opportunity to comply. As a result of this, they were entirely within their rights to defend themselves by returning fire which resulted in your death. Discharging a firearm at another player, regardless of round count or an intent to aim for the legs escalates the encounter to lethal combat. Why should you be un-PK'd?: Well, let's start off by explaining the situation which involved the "shoot-out". I and another agent of the ABI were in the distance as a Protective Custody Order was being served. When two civilians ran past stating, "Yeah, those are the bad guys," which caught our interest, we started running towards them, and they began running from us and got almost a 50-ish-yard distance while we told them to stop. As a result of the distance, I shot once at the main suspect's legs to incapacitate him solely, and one shot only. Afterward, the guy turned around and began shooting another agent of the ABI and me. Now, the situation is laid out clearly from my perspective. I'll get to why I should be unPKd. In my opinion, a shootout was not started by me solely shooting a single round and ceasing all fire to incapacitate someone's leg; in my perspective, that's not even a shootout. I would say a shoot-out is discharging your weapon with an intent to kill the person you're shooting at. I solely shot the firearm that I had in a single attempt to break his legs and nothing else. The main thing why I should be unPKd is that I simply did not start a "shoot-out" like stated in the PK guideline. Additional Information:

I decided to RP myself throwing the corpse off of the roof, because that was the original plan. What I did not take into account, as I am still a new player to the server, is that the leadership does not want me to randomly do that unless explicitly being told to do so. Since I just joined the VSK and I have not been properly trained on procedures, regulations, or even have access to any charter on the telegram, and without allowing me to explain myself or get corrected or even a slap on the wrist, I got yelled at and immediately PK'd. I would like to apologize for this mistake, but I do want to appeal this PK as I feel this is incredibly harsh for a first offense on a server I'm still new to. Additional Information:

You were picked up off the streets by a functionary of the FM's guard because you 'matched a description', which meant wearing the exact same starter clothes as everyone else. There is no way that they would be able to identify you, as your character did not tie-up or rob a member of the 11th Division. I also would like to add, I do have the ability to RP sufficiently and plan to do so if I am unbanned. In this server(Back before it got initially banned for the imagery) I was a Senior CO in the LSS and one of the departments/divisions in the RS, NCO in the RSHA and Military, Moderator, and Judge for the Ministry of Justice. While I understand that this was loooooooong ago, I believe it goes to show that I can participate as a member of the community and I pledge to do so in the future.

Description of the idea: If you leave, crashed, whatever to leave the server, you have a 5 minute grace period that would put you at the front of the queue Why should this be added?: I'm sure many people including myself have waited over an 1-2 hours to join the server during peak/slightly after peak hours, and ended up crashing or closing the game by mistake (Pressing F10 closes my game for some reason, and its pretty easy to forget when not knowing all the steam key binds) and have ended up at the back of the queue while sometimes being in a rp scenario. The grace period that would be around 5 minutes, would place the player at the front of the queue for the time period so they have a safe, and fair chance to join back without being put at 60th in the queue. An example would be if two admins were disputing a PK on charge of metagaming, I could step in and offer my perspective if given the chance, like a fresh pair of eyes on a topic. Other duties could also include ensuring that everyone is included in the roleplay. Say a Landespolizei member leaves a citizen in a cell. I would go find a CO or a large group and tell them to roleplay with the person in the cell or I would let them out, that way they couldn’t just leave people in cells and forget about them, because that isn’t ethical. One last duty may include keeping Prometheus guidelines. An instance of this would be citizens or even military/interior members spouting rhetoric not allowed on the server that may get Prometheus as a whole punished. I would take whoever it is aside and carefully explain that they can’t do that. If they continued to do that, then I would begin punishments like gagging or even kicking/banning them for mic spamming/being a degenerate.
