You are a disgusting degenerate who talks to underage indiviudals in GC's about "milking" each other. You are vile and should be put on a wall. Absolutely baffling that you believe your insanity would somehow be permitted, it wasn't enough to just be your freakish self privately, no. You had to broadcast it, share it, and involve others. It is the highest form of degeneracy. I can only hope justice finds you.11 points

Neutral Alright, let’s get real for a second—“Whatsup guys” sounds like the friendliest, chillest greeting ever, right? Like, just a casual hey to your crew, your followers, or honestly, total strangers on the internet. On the surface, it’s all sunshine and fist bumps. But dig a little deeper and, whoa, you’ll find it’s kinda a linguistic booby trap. I mean, we’re all just tossing it out there, not realizing we’re stepping on a social landmine every. single. time. Buckle up, because I’m about to roast “Whatsup guys” harder than a summer sidewalk. First up, let’s break down this phrase. “Whatsup” is just “What is up?” crammed together and mangled because apparently, syllables are for losers. But…what does it even mean? “What is up”—like, the sky? My blood pressure? Your existential dread? Nobody knows. It’s so vague it’s practically a magic trick. Instead of actually caring how someone’s doing, we just lob this word-grenade and hope nobody notices we didn’t ask anything real. It’s the verbal equivalent of a shrug. Dangerous? Oh, absolutely. If our language is this empty, our brains start to get hollow, too. Pretty soon, we’re all just mumbling nonsense at each other and pretending it counts as conversation. Now, let’s talk about “guys.” People love to claim it’s gender-neutral these days, but come on—deep down, we all know it started as dude code. It’s like calling everyone “bro” or “man” and then being shocked when someone feels left out. Sure, most folks don’t mean anything by it, but that’s kind of the problem. It normalizes this whole “maleness as the default” thing, and, sorry, that’s just lazy. Words have power. And if we keep defaulting to “guys,” we’re basically telling everyone who isn’t one, “Hey, you’re just part of the background.” It’s like tripping someone and then blaming them for falling. Not cool. But wait, there’s more! Tone, my friends. “Whatsup guys” has been used so much it’s like elevator music for your social life. It doesn’t spark connection, it just fills the silence. You hear it in YouTube intros, Discord calls, or when someone walks into a party and has no clue what to say. No one actually answers the question. It’s just verbal wallpaper. And the more we use these empty phrases, the more our conversations start to feel like bad improv—everyone playing along, but nobody actually saying anything real. Eventually, we forget how to actually talk to each other. It’s all just surface-level noise, like a handshake with a limp fish. Zero grip. And don’t even get me started on the fake friendliness. “Whatsup guys” is basically the “Hi, I’m totally relatable!” of content creation. Streamers, podcasters, even the dude unboxing phone chargers on TikTok—they’re all doing it. It’s meant to sound warm and welcoming, but it’s just a trick. You feel like you’re part of something, but really, you’re just sitting alone, eating digital Doritos. It’s social junk food. All the taste, none of the nutrition. Do it enough, and you start feeling weirdly lonely, like you’ve talked to a hundred people today but haven’t actually connected with a single soul. It’s exhausting. Last thing—let’s talk brain chemistry. Saying “Whatsup guys” a million times wires your head to be casual, not attentive. You stop seeing people as people and start seeing them as this mushy, undefined group blob. It’s like you’re addressing an audience of potatoes. No individuality, just crowd control. And that, my friends, is the polar opposite of real connection. It’s like being at a concert where everyone is shouting, but nobody’s really listening. Welcome to the age of performative socializing. Woohoo, I guess?2 points

This will be approved. Your PK was not a vital aspect of RP, you are being respectful and kind, and you seem willing to learn. As I said, as this was not vital to RP or the server, and as you are of lower rank and the situation was not a vastly important one, the server would not be affected by this, I don't see an issue in giving you a freebie. Coffee is an asshole.2 points

Denied. You cannnot declare war in OOC chat and use that as an excuse to kill every member of a faction. This is a roleplay server, not a deathmatch server. Even if some players agreed to a shootout, that does not justify MRDM against those are uninvolved just because of their uniform.2 points

My first forum post Steam Name: jakey SteamID: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199209087547/ Discord Username/ID: jake5002 Time Played (check with !time): 6d 22h 26m Basic Information Section Name of Organization: Agorist Party Number of Members (Minimum of 5, could expand): 13 Type Of Organization (Family, Enterprise, Gang, etc.): Political Terrorist Organization Ethnic Background (ex: Italian, Japanese, German, etc.): German Why should your organization be accepted? [100 words or more]: The main reason the Argorist Party should be accepted is because it fills a niche of rp within Prometheus. To begin with, there are currently no active resistance groups. On that point, even though the Agorist Party is a very recently formed, unofficial group, we’ve not only been able to kidnap multiple officials but also contribute to civilian roleplay. We’ve also quickly gained traction among the civilian populace. There’s a clear want for an organized resistance to the government, a government that has been too busy fighting each other to effectively combat outside threats. The Agorist Party would not only contribute to demand for civilian rp, but would also enrich the rp experience for government officials by giving them a non-minge threat to fight. To preempt any aglagiants of minge, the agorist party was formed out of rp and plans to sustain the rp which formed itself: The Agorist Party, while an anarchist movement, is not about just going out and shooting random government officials; it’s about dismantling the government and funding operations that reach that goal. We produce propaganda, work on establishing a network of friendly government and military officials who may be sympathetic to the cause, and organize protests and rallies outside of government facilities while blending into plain sight. In addition our lore draws from the preexisting lore within Prometheus, taking what was already established and using it as foundation for the organization. Provide an example of the unique roleplay your organization will bring to the server: The Agorist Party can provide many unique roleplay experiences, some of which include: Ambushes of government officials in back alleys, raids against government institutions (with UA approval), blackmail, and jailbreak. Not to mention custom made propaganda documents and even videos made. Which will be linked at the bottom. What is the backstory of your organization? [200 words or more]: Post-Red Terror, the White Rose Party became the dominant party, which no other could lawfully oppose. Rampant anti-communism and pro-monarchist sentiments led to the authority of the state not only being expanded, but anyone who opposed it was being suppressed. As the climate of the state slowly turned more authoritarian, peaceful but meager resistance to the government sprouted up in a few libertarian political parties in Berlin. These parties lacked support, funding, and power to accomplish anything and were doomed to failure. An important one in this regard would be the Berlin Tea Party; this party would accomplish nothing of note. By the time of 1939, the Berlin Tea Party had turned more into a meeting of disgruntled citizens to complain about the government, doing nothing against its imposing hand on them. But in the following years, things began to change; rumors started swirling of government malfeasance, torture, and infighting. Wars began to surround the nation from the south, west, and east fronts. Resentments that had been tamed and suppressed by the government began to bubble among the libertarian sect of the nation and, more specifically, Berlin. Within the practically useless faction of the Berlin Tea Party, a new, more radical movement formed: The Agorist Party. Unlike the Berlin Tea Party, which set out to change the government, the Agorist Party set out to dissolve the government. From which the small Agorist Party would quickly connect with undercover outside agents in Berlin. With the support of undercover officials, the Agorist Party would quickly snowball into a real insurrectionist movement and government threat. His primary responsibilities include recruiting and training new personnel, managing and assigning directives for research projects, and representing the ministry as a whole whenever needed. Leutnant zur See Matthias Stahl | With the absence of the Marines from the Armed Forces in Berlin, he is now seeking new employment. His previous duties included recruitment, training, and overseeing the implementation of directives. Günter Winkel | He is currently unemployed, spending his time in Berlin with hopes of one day starting his own business and pursuing new opportunities. How long have you been roleplaying?: ~ 3 years (across various games) Have you received any infractions i.e Notes/Bans? If so, what were they for and what could you have done to prevent getting them next time?: I have received a few notes during my time on Prometheus - one for a mugging rule violation and two for RDM. I acknowledged these mistakes and have since taken greater caution to prevent them from happening again; however, I have never received a ban. Staff Knowledge Section What previous experience so you have as a staff member either within Garry’s Mod or the Nutscript Gamemode? I have never been a staff member in GMod; however, I have held staff roles in other games. Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]: The main reason I believe I would be a strong addition to the staff team is my commitment to supporting the community by handling tickets and helping ensure that roleplay continues with minimal disruption. I’m an active member of the server and available during both peak and low-activity hours, which I believe will directly benefit both the staff team and the player base. Consistent staff coverage during off-hours is just as important as during peak times, and I’m regularly present for both. I want to contribute to maintaining a fair, organized, and enjoyable environment on the server. Over my time on Prometheus, I’ve taken part in a wide range of roles and scenarios, which has helped me understand how the server operates and what players expect from staff. I’m reliable, consistent, and focused on handling responsibilities properly. I also understand the importance of staying composed and clear-headed in situations where players may be upset or rules are in question. While I may not be the most experienced applicant when it comes to staffing in GMod, I adapt quickly and am confident in learning new systems and procedures. I approach each situation with care, listening to all sides before making a decision. I don’t see staff work as just enforcing rules - I see it as helping players understand them. This is especially important for newer members of the community who may need guidance early on. What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]: As a staff member, my responsibilities will include ensuring that all players on Prometheus follow the server rules and enforcing them when necessary. This includes responding to tickets submitted by the community and addressing various issues and rule violations as they arise day-to-day. I understand the importance of maintaining professionalism and respect at all times. I'm confident in my ability to do so, both during staff duties and while roleplaying on my characters. I aim to set a positive example for others on the server to follow. As mentioned earlier, I believe it is important not only to enforce the rules but also to educate players when appropriate and necessary. My goal is to help others understand the rules and the reasoning behind them, especially newer players who may need guidance in learning the structure and expectations of the server.2 points

PK stands for a Permanent-Kill. For a permanent-kill to occur, it must follow the PK Guidelines. Once a character is PK'd, all access to the character is lost. The only way to gain access to said character is to appeal the PK, and have it accepted under the pretense the PK did not follow PK guidelines. An individual has 72 hours to appeal their PK. - Character's name & rank: Leutnant Knapp von Papen SteamID (STEAM_0:X:XXX): STEAM_0:1:926770626 Staff member who issued the PK (if you know): browniemeister Explain why you were PK'd: I was PK'd for engaging and shooting two civilians who were ramming my vehicle. The reasoning provided was that I failed to properly escalate the situation before resorting to shooting them. I understand now that my actions were not justified, and I acknowledge this as a mistake on my part. I am not appealing for the PK itself to be reversed. I accept the 3-day PK that was later assigned. However, the issue arises from the fact that, under the impression that this was a Permanent PK, I deleted my character. I was unaware that a staff member had downgraded the PK to a 3-day one until after I had already deleted the character. I accept full responsibility for misunderstanding the situation, and I sincerely apologize for deleting my character prematurely. Once I learned the PK was temporary, it was unfortunately too late to recover the character. After the 3-day PK period has passed, I would like to recreate the character Leutnant Knapp von Papen with the same name and rank. I also request that a staff member help place the new character back into the same faction. I am not requesting restoration of items or money, just the position and name restoration, if possible. I have learned from this situation and will take greater care to follow the rules in the future. I appreciate the time and consideration in reviewing this appeal and thank you for your understanding. Sincerely, Ratio2 points

How long have you been roleplaying?: 5 Months. Have you received any infractions i.e Notes/Bans? If so, what were they for, and what could you have done to prevent getting them next time?: I don't have any. Staff Knowledge Section What previous experience do you have as a staff member either within Garry’s Mod or the Nutscript Gamemode? I regrettably don't have any experience being staff within Garry's Mod, but I have been staff in other games such as Navy Simulator in Roblox, and a Staff member in various Discord servers. Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]: I would be a good pick for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team for many reasons, but primarily because I'm a good judge. I make fair decisions based on the context of any situation, and I remain level-headed, especially when others become angry or frustrated. I have a relatively thorough understanding of the rules, having read them many times, and I understand them better than most run-of-the-mill applicants. I am very strict about having the rules enforced when in character, and whenever someone breaks a rule unless it's insignificant, I try to get them punished. If they don't understand, I explain it to them and give them a pass. I think I'm a fairly lenient person when it comes to judging punishments that pertain to the rules, as well as those who don't deserve a punishment due to a lack of understanding regarding the rules. My time role-playing on the Prometheus server has taught me many essential skills, and it has consumed most of my hours on Garry's Mod. It's just a great server and community. I want to become a staff member to help keep the community free from individuals who wish to cause trouble and to assist those who don't intend to cause trouble but may not understand the rules. I would be a positive, active, and exceptional staff member, as well as a good influence on the server community itself. I'm a friendly person, and I excel at interacting with people, whether in a calm or hostile environment. I'm generally a well-liked person, and I have lots of practice biting my tongue from my time as a party treasurer. As a party treasurer, it is essential to make friends with everyone, as this improves your chances of doing good business and helps you form strong relationships. I can utilize this experience as a party treasurer to further support the community in becoming a fun and welcoming place for anyone who wishes to log on and participate. What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words? [150 Words or more]:The duties and responsibilities of a Prometheus Network Staff Member primarily include enforcing the rules and teaching players. Staff should give out guidance first and punishments second. Guiding players to follow the rules so that everyone on the server can have a fun time is a very good thing that all staff should strive to do. Punishments are a regrettable but necessary part of being a staff member, as they are the only proper way for someone to learn from their mistakes, especially in cases of significant infractions. In the last question, I stated that I was a good judge, and I am, especially when it comes to punishments. I would give out punishments that are fair and vary in significance from rule to rule. If someone commits RDM without regret, I might issue a ban for a day or two, especially if they have a history of offenses. If they are rude and speak with poor taste, I may extend the ban. I understand entirely that punishments should vary from rule to rule, and I would make fair decisions when it comes down to it. Notes:N/A1 point

- Character's name & rank: Chefinspector Gronny Schmidt SteamID (STEAM_0:X:XXX): STEAM_0:0:439188058 Staff member who issued the PK (if you know): Prime Explain why you were PK'd: I was PKed by approval of UA because the armed forces wanted to trial me but because of MOI command constant refusal to trial me they decided to Pk me to get rid of me. Why should you be un-PK'd?: The PK wasn't a Last resort as their where many other ways they could have gotten revenge/gotten rid of me without resorting to PKing me. At no point did they try to go through any other courts such as the MOJ, they never attempted to my knowledge to get a arrest warrant from the justice mister or MOJ they only attempted the police courts witch are very understaffed and extremely inactive so a trial most of the time wouldn't have been possible. So they naturally would have had to go through the MOJ to begin with. From the beginning of this whole situation I was fully willing to go to trial. In fact when I was arrested by the Feldjagers around a week ago when the whole situation began, I asked to go to trial through MOJ or police courts because I wanted to face what I was being accused of, but instead they were too busy trying to make my character an informant and attempting to get me to sign documents incriminating my self. Witch gave enough time for the NSB to find out and PCO me. I don't think my character should have been pk'd for something that was entirely out of my control. The failure to do the trial and dodging the trial causing my death mainly lies with MOI command. I made it clear to my command and anyone who asked that I was very willing to go and face a trial and I asked the Interior minister and Police courts multiple times when my trial would be, or even if it was going to happen but I never got a clear response. Additional Information: thanks to prime for clearing up why I was pk'd. I know this will probably be denied but theirs no reason not to try.1 point

DENIED. This PK was properly approved under the guidelines and material presented. With the point of appeal you mentioned of -last resort- They did attempt to take alternate routes to have this matter resolved however, those other options were not taken by the relevant parties. i.e Interior Minister, Chief of the Police Courts, and the Chief of the State Police. Additionally, last resort is not an exclusive route for court or going through every single door. The efforts were made, and they were ignored. As such the last option i.e last resort was to have you PK'd.1 point

Denied. A PK is not an administrative punishment like a ban, it's an in character consequence for IC actions. PK appeals are not accepted simply because you apologise or regret the situation, especially when those actions clearly put you subject to the PK guidelines. In this case, you admitted to breaking Fear RP by pulling out your gun while you were under gunpoint and were going to get arrested, which directly led to the PK. That alone justifies the outcome. You also mention that you were trying to ask an OOC question and did not recognise that someone was attempting to initiate RP. However, pausing or disregarding RP whenever it's inconvenient is not acceptable. If you have an OOC question or need clarification, the correct procedure is to make a ticket in game so staff can assist you. Furthermore, someone trying to arrest you is not "Fail RP". If you believe a rule is being broken or the situation is improper, you should report it by making a ticket in game and staff will handle it. You should not escalate the situation by drawing a weapon or refusing to engage in roleplay. While I also appreciate that you're new to the server, the rules apply equally to all players. Your time invested in your character and your intent to follow the server rules are noted, but they do not undo the consequnces of the IC actions you decided to take.1 point

Hello, and thank you for submitting this PK appeal. I’m the individual who made the ticket that led to your PK. To provide some context: you were near the Landespolizei station during a civil war where everyone was shooting at eachother. At the time, you weren’t displaying any hostility nor were you carrying a weapon, so rather than shooting you down, we opted to arrest you as a less severe response. You were clearly instructed to stop moving and warned that any reckless actions could result in your death. Despite this, you chose to draw your MP40 and attempt to engage us, which led to you being swiftly gunned down by an Unterfeldwebel from the KG. Even if you believed the arrest was unwarranted (which, to be clear, it wasn’t), FearRP still applies. In the given situation, there was no reasonable scenario in which the risk you took would be in compliance with FearRP rules. Please take the time to thoroughly read the server rules and PK guidelines to avoid losing your character to situations like this in the future. Unfortunately, I don’t have the clip myself, as the KG member who killed you was the one who recorded it. Layheeee should also have the footage and may be able to provide it.1 point

I have spoken with both the UA and players involved, and after discussion I do not find this PK to be valid. I very much agree with your last sentence, "this feels a bit out of the spirit of the rules Prometheus follows." Let us assume that what you said is correct, an illegal action was performed upon you, and when you called out said illegal action, you were shot for it. You called a spade a spade and died. From my understanding, you did threaten to take them to report them for this event, while extremely ill advised (especially when detained), I don't find particuarly PK worthy in this specific instance. Now, once you had gone and reported it/filed charges in court, etc. I believe a PK would be valid. However, at this stage of the RP that was occurring, I find it to be premature. Essentially, imagine a room in which there are 3 losers: Coffee, Prime, and Donzoko are their names. Coffee shoots Prime in the head, murdering him. Donzoko exclaims, "You murdered him!" Is Coffee now able to PK Donzoko for saying what just happened? Seems like ending RP before it begins. RP is not about winning, it's about creating events/stories. This PK seems to have cut a story short before it had a conclusion worthy of death. Accpeted.1 point
