Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]: Despite my lack of prior experience as a staff member I deeply respect the work of the staff team on Prometheus, the roleplay experience they have created and the community they have subsequently fostered over the years. I want to contribute to this fantastic team of staff and assist in making Prometheus the absolute best roleplay experience it can be. I can learn and apply knowledge on subjects I am passionate about at an extremely swift pace which will allow me, if I am accepted, to become a very competent, valued staff member and amongst one of the best. I am able to follow direction and take initiative very well when it is required in the situation. Furthermore I am consistently active more than most people during online hours and enjoy this roleplaying experience more than most other online experiences. I have spent a lot of hours both on and off of the server in the roleplaying environment, in that time, I have gained direct experience and knowledge in dealing with various challenges that arise from both sides of the player-staff split. I have dealt with my fair share of being Pk'd, handled prop and punch minges like a pro, and have de-escalated more heated situations than I can remember in the roleplaying environment. All of these experiences have led me to be here and applying for a staff position. Staff members must act quickly and fairly when helping with tickets, assist both new and returning players, and uphold the integrity of the server in ways that cannot possibly result in personal gain. For example, no trading other people stuff for the benefit of other characters, etc. I am semi-knowledgeable in Nutscript functions, such as moving players around. [150 Words or more]: The primary purpose of a staff member is to make sure that the server is as fun and engaging as it gets for everyone in the roleplaying community. This makes sure that the rules of the server are enforced, there is order and that players need help with queries and issues. The duties of Staff members include: replying to tickets, reviewing clips, solving conflicts, and ensuring that everyone is treated equally. An important part of this task is to moderate players’ activities, report cases of misconduct such as RDM and NITRP, and enforce the necessary measures that can be applied up to the ban. This responsibility requires a lot of professionalism and there is no way one should practice favoritism at all. Another important duty is assisting players. Newcomers should be assisted, helped with name changes, faction moves, and any other in-game problem by staff members. This ability is critical in the prevention of the escalation of the roleplay conflict. Likewise, staff members are also expected to preserve the reputation of the server by shutting down cyberbullies and other offenders. They should work as a team to create a fair and structured environment while ensuring that the rules are applied consistently to all players. On top of that, the staff members are the face of the community and should do everything it takes to achieve that, for example by making sure that the server is as smooth as butter and is a haven for all roleplayers. Description of the idea: Intelligence RP is a very fascinating aspect of Prometheus, offering diverse routes and opportunities for players who actively participate in Intelligence RP. However, its potential has been constrained by certain underutilized features. One such feature is audio recordings, which could revolutionize the way Intelligence RP operates. From enabling more espionage opportunities to providing evidence in court cases, audio recordings equip agents with more tools to be used against their opposition. Unfortunately, this feature has been left redundant for way too long. Very few people know they exist, the only people who are able to approve and oversee them are typically very busy and the rules constraining Audio Recordings are a little unbalanced and make audio recordings not really worth the time. I can see why uniform stealing RP is constrained to UA, due to what you could do with that, but audio recordings have a broader range of use and would therefore be used by more agents. Nobody encourages it anymore, which is rather sad to see. An obvious solution to this would be to just remove Audio Recordings from the Intelligence Rules and call it a day, but why do that when you can revitalize them and make them useful without essentially making it absurdly overpowered? With enough care and effort, you could turn it from just another redundant feature to a useful tool that can change the tides or backfire depending on how its used. It's not only effective, but it's unpredictable, as recording the wrong conversations can lead to the agent's demise and getting caught can also lead to the agent's demise. Unpredictability is very fun. First, I believe that the approval threshold should be lowered to Senior Administrator+, or to Administrator+ with UA approval. If an administrator can approve government PK's on anyone up to faction leads, it would be reasonable enough that they would have the trust and responsibility in them to oversee audio recordings, only requiring approval from a UA member (Staff have significantly easier access to UA anyway). It is implied in the rules that audio recordings can be both portable (via attached microphone devices), or grounded. It would make sense if both mediums had their advantages and disadvantages too. Agents who have microphones attached to their collar sleeve would A: Need to roleplay attaching it on them via /me and B: would only be able to record audio conversations for two minutes maximum. The player would also need to do /me turns on microphone to start recording (and to indicate to the overseeing staff member that they are recording from then on), only needing to edit their audio recording to cut off any footage after the two minute mark before using it ICly (they can't cut any footage recorded prior to turning the microphone on). Now you might ask, "how do we identify players who are recording or are potentially recording conversations?" Very easy solution. Have the overseeing staff member force the player to put in their description "You would notice the man has a microphone attached to their collar sleeve." This allows for anyone to identify when an agent has a microphone attached on their collar sleeve and forces agents to be careful about it. As for those recording interrogations and whatnot, with grounded recording devices, recording would be 7 minutes max and would require the player to have pet flags to be able to place the equipment necessary to record said audio and would also have to be roleplayed out properly via /me's, like /me turns on recording equipment and whatnot. Audio Recordings should also only be approved if it is proven that doing so would be absolutely beneficial, like significantly more beneficial than if they just wrote about it. Recording a dossier you're doing, unless the person in question is being extremely uncooperative, is inherently cringe and wastes staff's time. Optionally, have the player distort their audio a little bit, i don't know maybe for rp realism or some shit but that would be unnecessary. Maybe I'm just that kinda guy that likes to be larpy like that. Why should this be added?: This opens up new avenues for players who actively do Intelligence RP and equips agents with more tools to use against opposition. Intelligence RP is very notorious for being a "high risk high reward" thing where whatever the player does can either lead to commendations and promotions or a shot to the head. Audio Recordings, if moderated correctly, allow agents to obtain information that can be used to blackmail, or for court trials. In turn, it puts the agent and anyone else involved at a risk of being pk'd for dirt, or other IC consequences that could follow depending on the situation. This also empowers double agents and actually makes them more useful than ever, forcing intelligence agencies to keep a closer eye on their personnel and ensure that whatever information they're disclosing between eachother wouldn't be intercepted and recorded by a double agent. In short, it makes RP significantly more interesting and creates more conflict. What negatives could this have?: If unregulated and/or used improperly, it would basically turn audio recordings into a form of loophole for metagaming (IE: recording literally everything and presenting them as evidence where it would otherwise be considered against the server rules to do so). Description of the idea: To reduce advertisement cost to 50-200 DM Why should this be added?: I, like many other players, cannot dish out 3,000 DM for things as casual as a regular business advertisement, or a meeting request for an official that might not even see the advert, and from what I heard, this cost is thanks to a retard saying something unimagineably stupid. I would suggest returning the price to normal and taking to creating a blacklist system for advertisements if anybody abuses them. Please, not everybody can spend 3k every time they want to make a public request, statement or general advertisement. What negatives could this have?: Of course there will be a jump in retards saying stupid shit, but that's where you punish THEM with an actual blacklist, and not limit the entire server's capacity to communicate ICly. For example, if I need the audience of the MoJ and he might not even be in the server, I'm completely screwed out of 3,000 DM. If I wanted to advertise my business, I'd probably spend more than I earn from it relative to one advertisement. If anybody wants to call me, as I am both a judge and a lawyer, they'd have to spend more than my charging rate as a lawyer to do so. Additional information: N/A

Description of the idea: On the marine uniform there are several medals that are not included within the model list, that if added could become an integral part of the marine faction. The Marine Front Clasp, similar to that of the MOI Honor Chevron, the Marine Naval Sabre, awarded to Marine Officers for gallantry, loyalty and heroism in the Marines and The Naval Observer’s Badge Of Prussia, a spotters badge to go with the artillery badge. Why should this be added?: As it stands the addition of these 3 medals could bring some excitement back into being a marine, furthermore with some of the things I am currently planning, it could bring a whole new level of quality and momentum to the Marine Garrison. What positives could this have?: -Marine Activity Increases as people want to EARN these new badges. -New fun medals that people will want to collect. -Everyone remembers the Marine Sabre. -The medals already exist on Marine Uniforms. I briefly tabbed out to check the recruitment logs, and when I tabbed back in, two BSK members had rushed in, shouting, "You're under arrest!" At that moment, their guns were on safety. I stepped back and asked what was happening, but they continued yelling. When I jumped, they shot me instantly. The whole situation was quite chaotic. Why i should be un-PK'd: Arrow told me that the PK would temporary for 1 week, he informed me today that it would be permanent unfortunately. In my defense the situation that led to me being PK'd was incredible chaotic, loud and incredibly short. My character is a well-known and respected member of the community with significant playtime, having built a positive reputation and strong connections with other players, even receiving a medal, keeping my character banned not only removes a dedicated and impactful figure but also negatively affects the overall RP experience for many who enjoy interacting with me. If so, what were they for and what could you have done to prevent getting them next time?: From the previous times I have been denied, I have gone in great depths to figure out the reason to better myself into being accepted. My mingy activity was the main reason and at that time I didnt realize I was acting mingy but now since I take on higher roles I find it more important to be serious in rp. For the notes I had those were in situations that I didnt think too clear, Like I said in my previous staff application, Since I am more familiar with RP standards, It is much easier for me to handle these type of situtations. To be a bit more specific, I have a few rdm notes, those were in situations where I wasn’t really familiar with rp and one instance where I was in the icc doorway and a gunfight occurred between the military and the nsb, There were 2 or 1 agents alone in the corridor and I had acted on impulse and shot them as the gunfight ended just prior. Another instance would be when I had seen a civillian shoot a marine, to me I thought he rdmed him so I killed him. We clarified together that the marine wanted to be killed so I just got a note for that. My ban a while back was for nlr, I didn’t know what it meant back then so when I died I called in my feldjagers to go arrest them and was banned. I fully admit to my prior mistakes and have worked hard on preventing them. I had some previous experience in other communities being moderator to get familiar with nutscript etc. Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team?[300 words or more]: Prometheus has become one of my escapes from this world. The community has really brightened me up as a person and taught me a lot about real-world problems and conflicts. Being a part of the staff team means that you have to be a good people person. When two individuals are engaged in a dispute over text messaging or any other conflict, The staff member has to know how to sort it out in a peaceful manner. Another significant reason I aspire to join the Prometheus staff team is my desire to incorporate suggestions from the community. Me being a larper for over a year, I have seen the problems of what people have and what they want. And sometimes staff isn't there to help him out. I don't intend to single anyone out, but there have been instances where I've received inaccurate information from staff, leading to consequences for myself and others. I want to fix this issue as I see a lot of potential in this server. And in order to keep that reputation, there has to be a good staff team. My leadership skills, as well as my problem-solving skills, can come in handy in these situations. Being honest is crucial in these types of conflicts. General knowledge and logic are also other big traits to have when being a staff member when solving issues and problems. Staff members such as Coffee, Layheee, Echo, Jimmy Jr ETC have inspired me to become a staff member, as well as a few other ones, as I have been here for a decent amount of time. I am aware of the essential responsibilities of a staff member or moderator, including understanding the roles and responsibilities within them, as well as enforcing general punishments based on the actions of Past offsenses. In my opinion, a low number of staff members can lead to a server that is less active and has fewer users. One significant benefit of being a part of the staff team is the friendships and bonds they share with each other. And now I feel like it's my time to experience this and become part of the Prometheus community. Sidenote, Being rejected from staff the past 2 times made me reflect on what I did wrong and reached out to some members that made that decision and tried my absolute best to not do what they said I did for this past month. This is crucial in an important situation between people, as there are huge consequences of breaking those traits. I also need to be able to handle situations quickly. If you don't act quickly, they could ruin a big event intended for role-playing, ruining the fun. Another one of my responsibilities would be to be the big brother in a situation such as being a role model for other people in doing the right things. Why do you believe we should pick you for the Prometheus Networks Staff Team? [300 words or more]: In short, I'm a longstanding and well-liked member of the community who has aided the UA team in several projects, including the recently made National Archive released by Virus. In long form, I've got a very strong dedication to the server. I've been engaged in the server since it launched, even before Typhon collapsed. I've been trusted for about a month now, and though it is a relatively nice thing to have, it is limited in how helpful I can be with people. I recognize why it's limited, and why it has to be limited, but as far as being genuinely helpful for as many people as possible, staff is simply the better way to go. From my previous time as staff on Diverge and tinkering in singleplayer, I know most of the commands for staffing. In all my time on the server, I've tried to do what I can to make the server better or generally more enjoyable. Helping new players find jobs or certain buildings, volunteering for trusted, and helping UA with warplanning and documentation. Staffing is the next step up in making this server a better and more pleasant place for everyone. I've just now finished high school, and won't be shipping out until mid-autumn. With no significant time commitments, I can spend more time staffing than most people could. I'm already on at least decent terms with most staff members, and I'm not afraid to ask questions or request help with particularly difficult situations or players. I'm also not a one track mind, and can recognize the grey areas within the rules that allow for some leeway with regards to punishment. The point of the staff team is not to punish people, the objective of the staff team is to help players and make their experience and time on the server as enjoyable as possible, and I will acknowledge and maintain regard for that objective during my time on the staff team. [150 Words or more]: The duties of a moderator, as the first level of the staff team, are relatively simple. Taking tickets, both to aid players with rulebreakers and helping them with IC matters (model changes, plytransfers, etc) comprises 90 percent of what moderators have to do frequently. When there's no tickets to take, it's best to noclip around to watch for issues like players stuck in each other or doors, proptrapping, or anything else that a player needs help with. A professional attitude and demeanor is required when handling new players, who might not understand the server or its rules, as well as intentionally disruptive players who try to goad a reaction or just generally infuriate people. I always try to be patient with people, which is a necessity with tickets -- treating both sides of a sit evenly, avoiding excessive punishment, and delicately and calmly explaining to unknowing rulebreakers what precisely was unacceptable about what they did and what rule they violated, so that they aren't left confused or unsure of what they actually did wrong. Patience, caution, discretion and diligence are imperative for the staff team, and I genuinely believe that I can meet these virtues as needed for staff. Why should you be un-PK'd?: I hope you'd understand, however i had large progress on August von Blüme somewhat, and didn't wish to end the roleplaying right there due to other characters interacting with me. I want to know/verify my PK. I don't know if you'd consider this anything, however i want to confirm. It is completely to your decision, however i just would hate to lose my relationships and the story i dedicated to August von Blüme as anyone else. I also don't see a reason for them to target me or whatever has occurred, or attempt to engage. He did have a weapon, so. Additional Information: (At an earlier clash, (I don't know if it was them, since some had randomly shot at me,) and furthermore i killed them.) (Also, The mugging was minutes before it). I also don’t understand how you can procrastinate hours before the deadline where you cant, and issuing a PK at the last minute when so much else has happened to the other character. I have also told other characters about the encounter, (In IC), and gave others information about so i don't know what is to happen. I don't see it right, someone tells you information about a criminal after being engaged with them, and then he mysteriously dies the next 10 hours.

I was trying to get out of the MOI in the process of trying to get out and punched someone to get out then I was fired upon and then was respond in kill house walked out, the admin then froze me and asked me why I was punching someone, and I asked him is this really necessary and he ignored me and banned my character. During this encincture I could not see the Admin's name. This also happened to a friend of mine named Charles Hermen who also got pk for no reason for calling a fieldJaguer retard.

Next time just make a ticket informing staff that you need to leave the server soon with a reasonable notice (15-20 minutes) especially when you get yourself into a roleplay situation such as getting kidnapped by a crime family. Once staff and the other players involved with the RP situation are aware that you need to leave the server situations like this will be avoided.

I tried to explain to some members of the Upper Administration who were present that we were all members of the Ministry of Procurements, but they didn't seem to believe us, especially since we didn't have the appropriate roles in the State Discord. I did have the MoP roles at one point but they were removed when I was getting my Ministry of Justice roles. I take responsibility for not ensuring that others received their MoP roles in the State Discord. I feel that my punishment was more severe than it should have been, especially considering that we were simply using guns from the vendor and that I was removed from the staff team for this. We did not distribute them to anyone outside our small group. We only used the firearms when absolutely necessary, such as when we were getting detained or in attempts to rescue one of our members.
