We’ve also quickly gained traction among the civilian populace. There’s a clear want for an organized resistance to the government, a government that has been too busy fighting each other to effectively combat outside threats. [200 words or more]: Post-Red Terror, the White Rose Party became the dominant party, which no other could lawfully oppose. Rampant anti-communism and pro-monarchist sentiments led to the authority of the state not only being expanded, but anyone who opposed it was being suppressed. As the climate of the state slowly turned more authoritarian, peaceful but meager resistance to the government sprouted up in a few libertarian political parties in Berlin. These parties lacked support, funding, and power to accomplish anything and were doomed to failure. An important one in this regard would be the Berlin Tea Party; this party would accomplish nothing of note. By the time of 1939, the Berlin Tea Party had turned more into a meeting of disgruntled citizens to complain about the government, doing nothing against its imposing hand on them. But in the following years, things began to change; rumors started swirling of government malfeasance, torture, and infighting. Wars began to surround the nation from the south, west, and east fronts. Resentments that had been tamed and suppressed by the government began to bubble among the libertarian sect of the nation and, more specifically, Berlin. PK stands for a Permanent-Kill. For a permanent-kill to occur, it must follow the PK Guidelines. Once a character is PK'd, all access to the character is lost. Hi, I'm the person who banned you. The reason I banned you was because you LTAP'd while you were tied up and being discharged by an Officer in the Panzers. You shouldn't be leaving while in cuffs or any Roleplay Scenarios, since it's specifically against the Rules to do so. I understand that you may not have known that, so I highly suggest you take a look at the Server Rules for the next time you join the server, so something like this doesn't happen again.

I have spoken with both the UA and players involved, and after discussion I do not find this PK to be valid. I very much agree with your last sentence, "this feels a bit out of the spirit of the rules Prometheus follows." Let us assume that what you said is correct, an illegal action was performed upon you, and when you called out said illegal action, you were shot for it. You called a spade a spade and died. From my understanding, you did threaten to take them to report them for this event, while extremely ill advised (especially when detained), I don't find particuarly PK worthy in this specific instance. Now, once you had gone and reported it/filed charges in court, etc. I believe a PK would be valid. However, at this stage of the RP that was occurring, I find it to be premature. Essentially, imagine a room in which there are 3 losers: Coffee, Prime, and Donzoko are their names. Coffee shoots Prime in the head, murdering him. Donzoko exclaims, "You murdered him!" Is Coffee now able to PK Donzoko for saying what just happened? Seems like ending RP before it begins. RP is not about winning, it's about creating events/stories. This PK seems to have cut a story short before it had a conclusion worthy of death. Accpeted.

I've enjoyed this server so far most people I met were welcoming others not so much. As someone who didn't know how to use a prop gun at all, I was met by people who taught me and I thought that was cool. The staff deserve a round of applause they have been doing a great job. Other servers are too serious or at times not serious at all but this server is right in the middle a good spot to socialize and Rp.

The shipment vendor (drugs) for Tiny China faction is completely broken and has been for almost 2 weeks, if I recall correctly. No options pop up when you try to purchase any shipments. Staff has been forced to switch Tiny China personnel's faction to citizen to be able to purchase.

And instead of continuing the same way I had been acting, I changed my behaviour and attitude. It has been a year since my last warn or ban on Prometheus, and ever since then I have risen to multiple GO positions, and even my current position of NHC. All this is to say, I think the Prometheus staff team is special in the way it prioritizes community over punishment. The goal of the staff team always seems to be to integrate players, not ban them. Many times have people who have been Perma'd or community exiled been allowed to return, many times have PKs done by UA members been overturned because the person apologised for some stupid act and wanted their character back, instead of throwing the book at them. I believe I will prove myself to be a dedicated member of staff if my application is accepted, somebody who follows the spirit of the gamemode and the spirit of the rules rather than acting like a robot and trying to issue as high of a punishment as I can, because I feel as if that is what the staff team needs, and what it may lack from some of the members of it who are newer to Prometheus and 1941RP as a whole, it can really dissuade somebody if they are banned for something they didn't know about prior, but most staff members seem to follow this formula. Beyond my personal motivations and the effort I am willing to put in, I think my track record as an active member of the server, be it in politics, intelligence, manpower, or otherwise goes to show that I am sufficiently adept in how the server functions and the nuances of it, both in situations regarding PKs and those regarding punitive action. I want to do more to help out with the server, I am European and it would be nice to have more staff members online during "minge hours" because the amount of people who lose guns and just never get compensated or the recruitment that has to be stalled for later because nobody is around to set them up in the faction is very unfortunate. Also, I'd like to add, I am not the vindictive type, nor do I hold grudges. I will be perfectly able to fulfil the role without any bias coming through in my decision making, but I would also be capable of allowing somebody else to take a situation which may result in my personal bias. What are the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for in your own words?: The staff team exists to make the server a more fun experience for all of the other players. Whilst most people know a moderator as the person who shows up when they do @rdm, in reality the moderation team carries the entire server on its shoulders. It is responsible for permanent kills and moderative action, yes, but it is also responsible for teaching newer players how the game works; for providing answers to different questions people may have about more a interpretive side of the rules. With that aside, I suppose the textbook answer to the duties of the staff team would be the enforcement of server rules. A vast majority of the cases staff members are seen in are banning minges for RDM, dealing with VDM, and all sorts of lower offences. However, the enforcement of metagaming rules are just as important; keeping the server fair for all players by ensuring nobody acts in such a way which cheats the roleplay. Overall, They keep the server a safe and enjoyable place to play.

Denied. Thank you for your apology. However, after reviewing this appeal, it's clear that your pattern of behavior continues to be a problem. You are freqeuntly in trouble, constantly appearing on the forums for all the wrong reasons and your history is filled with numerous past offenses. It's evident that you either have a really poor understanding of the rules or are simply choosing to ignore them which for someone who has a RPI character is not acceptable at all. In this situation, you were banned for breaking NLR three times and instead of taking responsibility, you initially tried to frame it as RDM further showing a lack of accountability and a misunderstanding of basic server rules. Even in your appeal, there's a continued effort to minimize your actions and redirect the blame, rather than accepting the consequences of your behavior. Your attitude towards staff has been consistently poor too which is something we don't accept here. Given your history, prior warnings and the nature of this situation I'm completely fine with Arrow handling the situation himself espcially considering the circumstances and your behavior at the time. The one week ban is entirely justified. I'd recommend taking the time to reread the rules and reflect on how you interact with both other players and the staff team.
